The Labcoat

Chrissie POV
My eyes shoot open due to King For a Day blaring out of my phone.
I look at the clock. Shit! It's 11:30 already.

I take a shower singing along to Bulletproof Love, letting the fresh water cascade down my body.

My phone rings in the middle of the shower, so I stop the water, quickly wipe my hands off, and stretch my body as far as it will go to grab my phone off of the counter, so I won't have to step out.

"Hello?" I say trying to sound tired.
"I know you didn't just wake up girl, I've tried that before!" He chuckles.
"What was I supposed to say, 'Hey up I'm naked and wet, so this isn't a good time.' "
"That sounded inappropriate..."
"Oh shut up." I giggle.
"I'm coming in an hour, so you better be ready."
"Okay..."
"Seeya." He says and then hangs up.

I step out of the shower and think out loud,
"Goddamn that sexy doctor..."

I get dressed in a simple Sleeping with Sirens T-Shirt, some ripped skinnies, and slip on my converse, when I hear a triple beep outside.

I glare out the window to see a smiling Andy stepping out of his car, and leaning on the hood.

I quickly flip him off, and run out the door, practically tripping down the stairs.

"Someone's friendly today."
"Fuck you too."

He runs over the passenger's door and opens it quickly.
"Oh, a gentleman we have here?"
"Haha." He laughs sarcastically.

He brings me to a diner about a mile down the road called Felix's.
The place is empty, so we decide to sit in a booth in the back, just in case someone comes.

"I'm glad you agreed to have lunch with me." He says in a low, sexy voice.
Agree?
"Agree? It's not like I had a choice!"
"There goes my self- esteem..."
"Oh shut up." I chuckle.
We talk about random stuff until we get to his job.


"So what's with the doctor thing?"
"What do you mean?" He whispers taking a sip of his water.
"You don't seem like a 'doctor' type of person."
"Well when I was teenager..."
"Mmmmhmmm?" I softy muttered.
"I had a band called the Black Veil Brides..."
"Black Veil Wha?"
"Brides..."
The Black Veil Brides... Hmmm...

"What happened?"
"Well I kinda had a breakdown when Scout cheated on me so... the thing was kinda off..."
He was playing with his straw. He was so broken... It was almost hurting me to see him like this.

"I'm sorry, Andy..."
"It's okay..."
He grabbed my hand and kissed it softly.

The waitress came with the bill and set it on the table. Andy reaches for it but I grab it faster than him and run to the cash register, with him chasing me.

I pull my wallet out of my pocket and watch as Andy yanks it out of my hand and throws it across the restaurant.

"ANDY!"
"What?" He smirks.

I run after my wallet, running into old people entering the restaurant on the way, and come back to see Andy had already paid the bill.

"I hate you."
"No ya don't." He chuckles.
