A girls secret

I looked over at Andy and smiled. Today was our first official date, and he had decided not to tell me what we were doing, which I didn’t mind, I love surprises.
“Are we there yet?” I started bouncing up and down and held his arm a little tighter. He chuckled and shook his head.
“Almost. Have patience.” He kissed my forehead and I felt a shiver go down my spine. Suddenly, he covered my eyes and I wiggled in his grip. He chuckled. “Stop, Alex. We’re pretty much there…forward…annnnnd stop.” I stood in place and held my arms out, grinning like an idiot.
“Where are we?”
“Maybe if you weren’t wearing your Converse, you would be able to tell.” I squirmed. Surprises, I liked. Riddles, not so much.
“Annnnnnnnndy,” I whined. I suddenly felt his breath next to my ear and I shivered. He kissed my neck lightly.
“Ok,” he whispered, then pulled his hands away. I gasped. We were at the beach.
“Awesome!” I tackled Andy in a hug and he just laughed.
“I knew how much you liked the beach, considering every time you were working on your novel and none of us could get you, you were most likely here.” I smiled, sitting down and grabbing a hand full of sand, letting it slip from my fingers.
“Yeah. Had some of my best ideas here.” Andy sat down and I leaned against him, closing my eyes. After a little while, I felt as though someone was watching me. I snapped my eyes open and looked around, only to find Andy looking at me, amusement in his eyes. I smiled unwillingly.
“What?”
“Just remembering when we first met.” I laughed.
“When I was a guy.”
“And our first kiss.”
“I was still a guy.”
“And your reaction to saying yes to being my girlfriend.” I smiled.
“Yeah. That was the best day ever.
“Are you serious?” He nodded, smiling down at me.
“Dead serious.” I smiled.
“Yes. Yes yes yes yes yes yes yes!” I jumped hugged him and he stumbled backwards onto the couch, laughing.
“Well then.” His eyes locked with mine, and he slowly sat up, never breaking the gaze. He slowly started leaning forward, and I took the opportunity to press my lips to his.
I sighed.
“Yeah. Most likely the best memory I ever have. Well, except you face plating the counter, drunk,” I teased. He simply laughed and shook his head.
“Oh, you want to play that game?” He suddenly picked me up, and I squealed.
“Andy! Put me down!”
“Nope.” I huffed and realized we were going to the water. He walked out about waist deep for him, and that’s when it clicked, he was going to drop me in.
“No! Andy, I can’t swim!” I grabbed him tighter, but I had spoken to late. He let go of me, and a look of shock and worry passed his face as he went to grab me again. Instead of catching me, though, I ended up dragging him down with me. I felt panic hit my body and I started to struggle against the water. I felt something wrap around me and I struggled harder until I was pulled out of the water. I started to gasp for breath, and then turned toward what still had a hold on me.
Andy.
“I’m so so sorry Alex! I should have asked if you could swim! I didn’t think about it I’m sorry!” I shook my head.
“I should…have told you…I never learned…cause of…bathing suits…” Realization clicked.
“Ohhhhh. Right.” I nodded.
“And now I’m…soaked…” He smirked.
“And that’s what she said.” I groaned and rolled my eyes.
“You’re soaked to.”
“She also said that.” I groaned again.
“I thought Ashley was…the dirtier minded one.” He shrugged, still smirking.
“It rubs off.” He picked me back up and carried me where I could reach, he put me down.
“Andy?”
“Hm?”
“Can you teach me to swim?” He smiled.
“Sure.” The rest of the day was spent in the water, and we got weird looks because we were fully clothed. I looked up at one point and saw that the sun had nearly set.
“Andy…” He looked up, smiling. Slowly, he started to swim toward me and pulled me into his arms, warming me from the cool water.
“Yeah?”
“Don’t you think it is time to head home?” I motioned in the direction of the setting sun and his eyes widened.
“Wow. It got late fast.”
“It did.” He started to pull me deeper into the water and I laughed. “We are going the wrong way, Andy.” He simply smirked. He suddenly stopped and we floated there a second before he slapped the water right in front of me. I wiped the water from my eyes, sputtering as he was too busy laughing. “Oh, it is so on.” I jumped him, using all my strength to push him down. He went under, and I waited for him to come back up, but, instead, I felt something grab my ankle and yank. My head went under, and I slapped his arm. Not that it had any effect or anything, both of us under the water and all.
He pulled me closer, and looked into my eyes. His lips were suddenly against mine, and I wrapped my arms around his neck.
That had to be the best kiss ever.
