Just an Ashley Love story

Time lapse 20 years

Ashley’s POV
Standing side stage to my little girl’s first concert, with my wife and my son and a group of people I call my best friends and family. A guy couldn’t be happier. My life has been a roller coaster ride. Things I’ve done, things I didn’t do. I don’t have any regrets. BVB has gone further than we could ever have imagined, and now my little Jade, the bass player and lead singer of her own band is the opening act for BVB. I beam with pride.

My son only 5 years younger than his sister, is also in a band. He is the drummer, taking after his uncle CC, of a band that will be playing tomorrow night on the same stage opening for Asking Alexandria. Jinxx and Angels little boy is the lead guitarist of that band, and Andy and Juliet’s son is the lead singer. We are all one big happy family.

Everyone still lives on the farm in LA, the business has grown as well as the property. We’ve made additions on to not only our house but the places our family was living in as well as the barn. We’ve hired on more employees, Angel still being the manager of course. H.C. Choppers and Customs has grown huge as well, she has opened up a few locations in California and has hired on multiple employees to keep those businesses going. With everything in place she now travels with me and our kids all over touring the world.

“Hey Ash, penny for your thoughts?”

I smile, so many times over these years she’s used that phrase, “Just reminiscing. It still frustrates me that I only get a penny.”

“A penny and a kiss.”

Her lips crashed to mine as I wrap my arms around her. Kaleb looks over at us, “C’mon Mom, dad, can’t you two save that for later.”

She pulls away and laughs, at 20 years old I guess it still grosses him out that his mom and dad will kiss in public.

The lights in the venue lower and the stage lights come on. Our little girl runs up to the mic, shouting her band introduction and starts rocking, like she’s been doing it all her life. “Our little girl is all grown up babe, and our little boy is too.” A tear escapes over my cheek as I hug the woman I love close.

She looks at me with tears in her eyes, “I couldn’t have asked for a better life Ash. We’ve got two beautiful children, an amazing group of friends we call family and we are all so close. Not many people get the chance to have what we have. And it all started that day in Starbucks, I have to say for once, I’m glad I wasn’t paying attention, and I’m glad I ran you over.”

“Me too babe, me too. I love you, and thank you."

"Thank you?"

"Thank you for making my life worth living, thank you for giving me 2 wonderful children, thank you for making me the happiest man alive."

She looks at me and smiles, and we kiss.

"Really, i'm leaving!"

We laugh again as Kaleb storms off.
