My Prophet

New Discoveries!

"C-Cancer?" I stuttered. Betty nodded, and frowned at me.

"You knew that." She said, cocking her head.

"Oh yeah, uhm right." I shook my head. I looked up at Andy, who seemed to be fuming. "We need to be getting back to the bus, I hadn't noticed where the time went!" I exclaimed.

"Oh but you just sat down!" Betty said, looking up at me with wide eyed curiousity.

"I hadn't seen what time it was." I said, shrugging. "I'm sorry, come on Andy." Betty stood up and so did he. We scooted out of the booth and I leaned in to hug my great aunt. "Love you."

"Love you too, hun. Nice to meet you, Andy." She smiled and he nodded. We laced hands and walked out to the car. I got in the driver's side, taking Andy by surprise.

"We're not going back to the bus yet are we?" He asked. I shook my head.

"We're going to see my mother."

Andy and I hopped out of the car. After a fifteen minute drive of me ranting and occasionally crying we had made it to my old home. My mom's car was parked in the driveway so we walked inside without knocking.

"Mother!?" I screamed. "Anna Johnson!" I heard someone run down the grand staircase and saw my mother come into view. She looked suprised.

"Coralie, Andy! What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Why the fuck didn't you tell me dad had cancer!?" I shouted, running at her but Andy held me back. Her eyes went wide as she took in what I said.

"Who told you that?" She asked.

"Betty. We went out to eat after visiting dad's grave and ran into her." I seethed.

"Look Corrie, I didn't think you'd be able to handle it. He's had it for a few months now, and the chemo wasn't working so I didn't tell you." She said.

"I never got to see him! I never got to tell him I love him, and that it was okay to let go! What the hell is wrong with you. Your such a bitch! He was my father!" I yelled, through my tears.

"After your grandma dying from cancer, I didn't think it was going to sit well." She said.

"Of course it wasn't! He died! Did he tell you not to tell me?" I asked.

"No, he thought you were too busy to see him.." She shook her head and I sank to the floor, in turn pulling Andy with me.

"He died, thinking I didn't want to see him." I sobbed, feeling Andy's arms wrap around me.

"I'm so sorry, Coralie." She whispered, looking down at us.

"I hate you so much." I said, shaking my head.

"I never meant to hurt you-"

"Fuck off." I stood up and took Andy's hand, who just flicked her off as we walked out of the house.

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write

Awh thanks! This is one of my older stories so I personally believe the quality isn't as good as some of my more recent ones but thank you!

Just finished chapter one and already digging it! Can't wait to continue reading it!
