My Prophet

Come Together

I laid down on the couch and rubbed my head. The sickness had turned from bad to worse and now I couldn't even stand to be in the sun. My throat ached, my head pounded and I always felt like I was going to throw up.

Andy, the guys, Ella, and Sammi were all playing a show, so I had the bus to myself. We were in Nebraska today and it was hot as hell.

I hated to say it, but I missed dance. My life doesn't feel right without it, and even though I adore being with Andy, I want to be dancing.

The guys had a lot of tours planned for this year and I doubted that I'd be able to come to any of them, which worried me. Mostly about our wedding that we have yet to start planning.

"Babe?" I heard Andy call out. He walked on the bus, no one following.

"Hey." I croaked out. His eyes saddened when he saw me curled up on the couch, wearing his tee shirt and a pair of leggings.

Andy walked over and sat next to me. His hand reached up and rubbed my back. I laid my head on his lap and closed my eyes.

"Where is everyone?" I muttered.

"Drinking." He laughed.

"I'm sorry your not with them right now." I said.

"Don't be, I've got to do an interview today with this Bryan Stars guy. Feel up to watching? It's gonna be fun..." He said, poking my side.

"Sure." I said, softly. "When?"

"Like fifteen minutes." He said. I nodded and stood up. My head was pulsing but I wasn't going to let some stupid sickness ruin my time on tour.

Andy followed me into the back room, where I slipped on a different tank top and put on my flip flops. I grabbed my sunglasses and backstage pass.

"Ready?" Andy asked, taking my hand. I nodded and we walked out into the heat.

"Ah geez how did you play in this?" I asked.

He chuckled, "You get used to it. Fuck, I need a cigarette." I shook my head, laughing. I jumped on his back and buried my face in his neck. He held my thighs as we walked. I felt a few raindrops on my head and sighed.

"How is it raining? It's so hot!" I said.

"The temperature doesn't affect rain, Corrie!" He said.

"Well I didn't go to college. Sorry." I laughed.

"I didn't graduate high school!" He exclaimed.

"Well then." I scoffed.

"Finally!" We heard Matt Good shout. He was standing under a blue tent next to an Asian guy and a goofy looking guy in a blue shirt. John was standing there too.

"Sorry, Coralie's dragging ass today." Andy laughed, as I smacked his head. I jumped off his back as we walked under the tent.

"Hey I'm Bryan." The guy said, extending his hand to me. I shook it and smiled.

"Coralie." I said.

"Well you guys ready to start?" Bryan asked.

"Yeah." Andy said, and I walked over to John and stood under his umbrella. I watched as Andy lit a cigarette and I rolled my eyes. "I saw that, Johnson!" I laughed and stuck my tongue out at him.

"Alright guys, we are back with Black Veil Brides-"

"No way!" Matt interrupted.

"Seriously!"

"One of them." Andy chuckled.

"Apparently we made sort of a phenomenon with the last video, did you expect that Andy?" Bryan asked.

"I did, because I expect everything to be a phenomenon. And I'm not saying just me, I'm expecting everything in life to be phenomenal."

"Okay.." I laughed at how silly he was being. I had seen him do interviews before and he was always funny but nothing compared to this.

It was a long interview, and every so often he would glance over at me and laugh. He was wearing a Los Angeles Ballet tee shirt with me doing an arabesque on it that he cut all to pieces.

Suddenly, I found the guys moving so they could race or something. "I'm just going to warn you, I'm really good at racing." Bryan said. I chuckled as Andy walked in the grass. He looked so out of place in such a natural area.

"John will you count us off?" Matt asked. John nodded and walked over, umbrella in hand.

"It's going to be three, two, one shoot okay?" Everyone nodded, "Three, two, one shoot!" They all took off, Andg of course being last.

Bryan was obviously the fastest and he made it there before Matt and Andy. Everyone around me laughed as they all walked back over to us.

"What were your thoughts on that race Andy and Matt?" Bryan asked.

"Bryan Stars is so fast." Andy heaved.

"He's so fast."

"Bryan Stars is so fast."

"He's really fast."

"Wow he's fast."

"When we were running, we were neck and neck. I saw him pull so far ahead of us, I just stopped caring!" Matt said.

"Bryan Stars is so fast." Andy repeated.

"This is unwinnable!" Matt laughed.

"Never let anyone tell you that Bryan Stars isn't so fast..." I laughed as they finished up the interview, and before I knew it we were all walking back to the buses.

Notes

I loved writing this chapter!

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write
