My Prophet

Arms Of An Angel

Andy layed in his bed as I sat in a chair next to him. I had made the executive decision that no one would be in the same bed as Andy for the next two weeks. I was going to have to sleep in the bunk with him since there weren't any other ones available so I wanted to give him as much space as I could for now. I've been sleeping on the floor of our room on a blow up mattress since when Amy gets here today she'd sleep on the couch.

I found myself nodding off as I held on to Andy's hand. I snapped myself out of it, knowing I had to be awake for Andy. He was staring at the wall in front of him, "I want to hold you," He closed his eyes, and I rubbed his knuckles, "You can't do anything. I know you have to go to the store, you probably wanted to meet Keenan before we went on tour. This is awful for you.."

I lifted my fingers to his cheek, "You would do it for me. Dance ended a week ago, I want to be with you." I ran my finger over his cheek bone. He had gotten ridiculously skinny from just sitting in bed for a few days, "If we're going to be married these are the things we have to get used too. We need to be able to take care of the other without any annoyance."

He sighed, "I just hate seeing you do nothing but take care of me."

"I want too." I said as he covered my hand with his own. He leaned foward wincing and I stopped him. "No Andy, your going to hurt yourself." He groaned.

"I can't even kiss you!?" He exclaimed. I chuckled and leaned foward placing my lips to his. He shoved his tongue in my mouth, taking my breath away. His hands curled around my ribs and mine rested softly on his shoulders. He was going for it, even softly biting my lip and massaging my mouth with his own. I could feel his growing bulge and knew we had to stop.

"Okay, Andy." I said, pulling away. He sighed sadly, "I think it's time for your medicine. Your moms going to be here soon anyway." I stood up and walked out to the kitchen. I grabbed his pills off the counter and shook two into my hand. I grabbed him a bottle of water and walked back to our room. He was playing on his phone and I held the water and pills out to him. He chuckled, putting the phone down and quickly took the medicine. I heard a knock on the door. "That's your mom," I said lightly pecking his lips and walking out to the front room. I opened up the door and smiled seeing Amy.

"Hey Corrie." She said, pulling me into a hug. "How is he?" She asked walking inside.

"He's doing better. Doesn't move much, because it hurts him." I sighed.

"Is he back here?" She asked walking to our bedroom, I nodded and followed her. He looked up smiling at her.

"Oh Andy! Your father and I were so worried. Are you alright?!" She asked taking his hands.

"Oh yeah, Coralie is taking good care of me." He smiled, looking at me behind her.

"Well I've come to relieve her of some of her duties since she's going to have to do it all summer. So, show me the ropes." She said standing up. I nodded and walked closer to him.

"It's really painful for him to move right now, so for showers I just take his brace off and help him over to the bath tub. You have to wash his hair yourself since he can't lift his arms right now, then get him in clothes. He's been skipping shirts these days since that's the easiest thing to do.." The next hour was spent with me telling Amy everything I knew about how to take care of Andy. She figured it out with her whole motherly instinct thing and pretty soon she knew all I did.

"Corrie, will you get me some coffee?" He asked, weakly. His medicine made him tired so I knew he wanted coffee so he could talk to his mom.

"Actually, baby, we're out. I need to pick up a few groceries anyway, so I'll run out and get some." I said hopping up from the chair I had careful not to run into the other one Amy was in. I slipped on my shoes and leaned over to give him a kiss.

"Okay, be careful. Love you." He said.

"Love you too. Bye Amy." I smiled, running out of the apartment.

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write

Awh thanks! This is one of my older stories so I personally believe the quality isn't as good as some of my more recent ones but thank you!

Just finished chapter one and already digging it! Can't wait to continue reading it!
