My Prophet

Everybody's Singing La La La

I stood sidestage as Andy strutted around the stage. These past few months have been great, getting back into the swing of things and trying to forget about losing a child. Now Andy and the guys were doing a show in LA before we went on Warped Tour next week.

I was excited to see what life on tour was like even if I'd be spending months in a bus with tons of guys and two other girls.

They were playing All Your Hate and I noticed Andy climb up on top of a marble pillar. I shook my head at him and looked over at Sammi. "He's going to kill himself."

Sammie chuckled, "He's done worse. Don't worry." I nodded but something in my stomach was unsettled. He was going crazy tonight, probably since it was a hometown show, but I couldn't help but wish he would calm down a little.

I squinted, trying to get a better look at him as he climbed to the top pillar. I grabbed Sammi's arm and she giggled. "It's fine, Corrie. He know's what he's doing." I shook my head, swallowing hard, not taking my eyes off of him. He sat down and my breath hitched in my throat. He pushed himself off of the speaker and I saw his body hit the other side and he fell to the floor.

"Oh my god." I said.

"Is he-" Sammi started but I didn't listen to her. I ran backstage and around to the other side where he was. There was already a crowd of people around him. I could hear him whimpering.

"Where's Corrie?" He said. I pushed through the crowd.

"Miss, you can't-" A security guard said.

"Stop, she's my fiancé." Andy said, cringing. The music was still playing around us. I moved over to him and kneeled down beside him. He was still on the floor, so I grabbed his hand.

"Andy?" I leaned down to him. "Baby, are you okay?"

"I don't know, Cor. I think I just fucked myself up." He tried sitting up but he winced. His hands reached for me to steady himself out. I took his face in my hands and forced him to look at me.

"What were you thinking, Andy!?" I said.

"I don't know. I've got to finish this show." He said standing up just as the music finished.

"No! Babe, you might have really hurt yourself!" I exclaimed.

"Guess, we'll find out afterwards." He said jumping on stage. I shook my head and walked back around to Sammi seeing her look at me in worry.

"What in the hell!?" She said.

"He's.." I sighed, "He's a trooper. I would be surprised if he didn't break something."

"And he's still going to perform?" She asked.

"Looks like it." I said watching as they started to play Knives and Pens. Luckily, it was their last song but he should be in an ambulance right now.

I watched as every so often he winced at the pain but still kept going. Finally, he was running off towards me. He wrapped me in a hug and buried his face in my neck. People were shouting his name all around us and I knew it was paramedics.

"Come on, sir. You need to get to the hospital." One of them said. Andy grabbed my hand and pulled me out with him.

"Corrie!" Ashley shouted at me. I turned around, Andy still dragging me with him. "Is he alright?"

I shrugged and kept walking until eventually we found ourselves outside. Andy got on the ambulance with my help and laid down on the stretcher. He kept his hand locked in mine as we sped down the road.

For the first time I felt how he must have when I was in his spot. Laying there looking up in pain, instead of being so worried.

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write

Awh thanks! This is one of my older stories so I personally believe the quality isn't as good as some of my more recent ones but thank you!

Just finished chapter one and already digging it! Can't wait to continue reading it!
