My Prophet

Together

I was standing next to a ton of fans. It was our meet and greet after the show, and I couldn't wait for it to end so I could go to the after party with Corrie. She was standing off to the side, biting her lip.

I know she felt nervous in here. Their was must have been a lot of spirit. Her eyes were locked on a girl in the center of the room. She looked to be around twelve, and I noticed that no one had talked to her yet. I bid goodbye to the two girls who were flirting endlessly with me, and walked over to the young girl.

Her eyes widened aa she saw me approaching, "Hey." I said to her.

"Oh uhm hi." She said sheepishly.

"Would you like me to sign that?" I gestured to the CD she was holding in her hand.

"Yeah thank you so much." She said handing me the CD. I took the sharpie out of my back pocket, and signed next to my face.

"So, what's your name?" I asked.

"C-Cassadee." She stuttered.

"Well where are your friends tonight, Cassadee?" I inquired.

"My best friend was supposed to come but.." She shook her head tears brimming in her eyes. "She commited suicide a month ago." I felt my heart sink in my chest, and I now knew why Coralie had been staring at her.

I pulled Cassadee in for a hug. She hesitantly wrapped her tiny arms around me.

"You know Cassadee I think I have something that could make you feel better if your up for it?" I said, biting my lip ring. She nodded, and I took her hand, and led her over to Coralie.

Corrie's eyes widened when she saw us come over to her. I looked down at Cassadee to see a confused look on her face.

"Hey babe." I said leaning in to place a kiss on her cheek, and whispered in her ear, "She lost her best friend, please help her." She pulled away, and nodded. Corrie smiled at the small girl, and moved closer to her.

"Hi sweetie, I'm Corrie." She said, "What's your name?"

"Cassadee, I'm really happy for you and Andy." Cassadee smiled.

"Thank you, now can I tell you something that's a secret, that I don't tell many people?" Corrie asked.

"Yeah." Cassadee nodded, I could barely hear them over the roar of the room.

"I have a special gift." Coralie said.

"A what?"

"I'm a medium, do you know what that means?" Coralie questioned.

"You can talk to people who crossed over right?" Cassadee said.

"That's right, now I just want to tell you that you have a lot of energy behind you. Did someone you know named Elise pass?"

"Yes, she was my best friend, I wish she was here..." Tears fell from Cassadee's eyes.

"Well sweetie, she is here. Right behind you actually." Corrie smiled down at her.

"R-really?" The small girls voice filled with happiness.

"Yes, I actually just asked her to validate for you that she's here, and she told me to tell you something about dragonfly's do you understand that?" Coralie asked. I felt awestruck as I watched the young girls mouth drop open.

"Me and Elise used to love dragonfly's! They always swarmed around us in the summer." She said.

"I love them too, I used to live in Florida, near the swamps and they were everywhere." Coralie smiled, but it fell when she looked behind Cassadee. "So Elise is showing me a razor in her right hand, did she take her own life?"

"Yes." Cassade gasped.

"She wants you to know that she is so sorry she left you. She never meant for you to be so sad about her passing, and she said for me to tell you to never give up, because even though she wasn't strong enough to make it, you are." Corrie said, and she pulled the girl into her arms as she sobbed.

"Thank you so much." I walked over to them, and joined their hug. After a few a seconds we all pulled away, and I wrapped my arm around Coralie's waist. I noticed the guys staring at us, and I waved them all over.

"Cassadee this is Jake, Jinxx, Ashley, and CC." I smiled. "Guys this is Cassadee, be nice to her." I said, and hugged the girl one last time.

"Thank you Andy." She smiled.

"Of course." I nodded, and grabbed Corrie's hand. We walked out of the room, and into the cool hallway. She immediately fell into my arms, and I felt at peace, though hating the fact that she would leave me tomorrow.

"Your amazing." I said resting my chin on her head.

"I love you." She said burying her face in my chest.

"I love you too."

I know the feeling. My stories from two years ago on here are just cringe-worthy in my opinion. But I definitely can relate to the your main character already just because of the the dance aspect. Kind of reminds me of my series "The Mortician's Daughter/Lost It All" and "Wretched and Divine/Ohio Is For Lovers" Those two series are dance related which are my favorite types of stories to write
