Finding Help

The pizza place was hidden well among the giant buildings. Jinxx opened the door for me and I walked through.

“Do me a favor and never do that again.” I told him.

“Why?” he asked.

“I’m independent, guys normally don’t do that for me. Plus we are friends you don’t have to act like a gentleman.” He laughed and we approached the counter.

“Well get over it that’s the way I am.” He said poking me in the head. We ordered a pizza and ate most of it in the restaurant watching the drunken college kids stumble around.

“If I’m not mistaken I think that kid is high.” I said to Jinxx in a hushed tone.

“Kids who do drugs piss me off.” He said staring at the young guy.

“Why I love stoners hell gimme some weed and I am too.” I told him. He looked at me stunned.

“You’ve done drugs?” he asked almost let down.

“Yes almost 73% of the kids in my school have. I’m not ashamed of it I didn’t do it for any shameful reason.” I told him taking a drink of my soda.

“You are very interesting Feather, can I be honest with you?” he asked.

“Is your name JinxxiPoo?” I asked back.

“No.” he said semi hating my nickname for him.

“Yes it is. So ask.” I told him.

“Okay so I get that kid likes you but is anything ever going to develop?” he asked.

“Do you mean derrick? No I doubt it, I can’t do long distance relationships.” I told him taking another piece of pizza.

“Interesting.” He said with a devious smile, taking his own piece.

“What the hell is that suppose to mean?” I yelled at him as he took a drink of his beer.

“Oh nothing you need to worry your little head about.” He said taking another sip.

“Oh Jesus hell bro! You can’t just leave me with a cliff hanger.” I squealed at him.

“Kid, you will just have to go with it. You wanna head to the bar?” he asked.

We arrived at a giant bar that was amazingly crowded but there was some arm space. We walked to a table and Jinxx told me to stay put since I was a minor so that he could get some drinks. Just as Jinxx walked away a guy in his late 20s walked over.

“Hey there beautiful, can I buy you a drink?” he asked. He wasn’t half bad looking but nice strangers have never rubbed me the right way.

“Thank you but no thank you.” I told him looking nice and not so bitchy.

“Are you sure you could join me and my friends at that table over there.” He offered pointing at his table with four males sitting over there.

“Actually she is going to be a good friend and stick with me.” Jinxx said smiling over at the guy.

“That’s so cute JinxxiPoo.” I said taking one of the four shots he brought of. He had got tequila one of my very favorite drinks. The guy who tried to get me a drink left and Jinxx and I got shit faced. I called Jake and he called us a cab and I ended my night in Jinxx’s bed.
