I was watching Gabriel Iglesias when he kissed my cheek gently I blushed hearing my phone go off I stood "hold up CC I need to talk this." He nodded unhappily letting me go... I've been at his home for about a month now and he hasn't pressured me into anything and all we have done is kissed and made out, I answered the phone in the kitchen "Miss Lagrue?" I was surprised by the formal tone answered. "This is she." the man responded gently "Ma'am your mother was raped and killed. Do you know anyone who could have done this to her? I am sorry for your loss."
I collapsed to the ground tears filling my eyes my mother wasn't the best mother out there but she did damn try I choked out "Keith James." I could hear paper being written on "are you sure?" I nodded into the phone stupidly "Yes he hated her and wants to hurt me." The officer thanked me and told I needed to go home to pick up the belongings I wanted before they donated things to GoodWill I sat there for several minutes staring at my phone as CC walked over to me "babe what's wrong?" He crouched down worried for me, I cried softly "my mom was killed and raped." I whispered he hugged me tightly "Oh baby I'm so sorry!" He held me as sobbed into his shirt ruining it why did life have to hate me so much?
