The Mortician's Daughter

"Dahlia.... Oh Dahlia..." A deep voice murmured into my ear, disturbing my sleep. I groaned in annoyance and rolled over.

I mumbled, my voice muffled by the pillow my face was buried in. "Go away Andy." Andy chuckled but continued pestering me to wake up, now shaking me violently.

"No!" He said, "Get your ass up." When he noticed I was ignoring him he tried another tactic. "I'll make you breakfast.." He sang.

Immediately sprung up from the bed and shouted, "I'm up! Good morning world!"

Andy laughed and stood up, waiting for me to unplug my phone from the charger before following me to the kitchen. I sat happily on the counter as he prepared breakfast. I was a sucker for Andy's homemade pancakes.

"Shit." He muttered. "We're out of eggs."

I groaned loudly and hopped off the counter. "I'll go get some!" Andy smiled and nodded sitting down on the couch in the living room while I grabbed my keys and slipped my toms on.

I was too lazy to change so I decided my black tank top and grey leggings would do. Once I was sure I had everything, I yelled a quick goodbye to Andy and left to go get eggs.

I had retrieved the eggs and was now walking towards the cash registers. The eggs were placed in the back of the store so I had some walking to do. My phone buzzed in my bag and as I was fishing around for it, I walked into someone and fell hard on my ass.

"Ow." I whined, looking up at who I ran into.

The man, probably in his 20's, was dressed in a fitted black t-shirt that showed off his muscles and abs perfectly, tight black jeans and cowboy boots.

"Oh shit, I'm sorry I wasn't looking where I was going." He apologized, sticking his arm out to help me up. I gratefully took his hand and yelped at how easily he lifted me up. I was on the thin side but still. Once I was finally up he said, "I really am sorry. Are you okay?"

I laughed and nodded. "Yes, I'm fine. I was too busying looking for my phone to pay attention to where I was going."

He extended his arm out once more. "Ashley" He said, smirking.

"Dahlia." I said, smiling as I shook his hand. Ashley's eyes widened.

"Dahlia? As in Dahlia Blackwood?" He asked. I nodded, giving him a weird look.

Then it hit me.

"You're Ashley Purdy!" I exclaimed. He nodded.

Ashley smirked. "So this is the beautiful girl Andy's been hiding from us." I blushed at his compliment and giggled.

"The one and only!" I joked.

Ashley laughed and took out his phone. "Here, there's a party tonight at my house and I'd love if you'd come just... don't tell Andy. I'll text you the address and time since I gotta go." I nodded and took his phone, putting my name in his contacts.

He smiled and said, "Awesome. Nice meeting you Dahlia, see you tonight." With a wink he turned on his heels and began walking away from me.

I smiled like an idiot as I paid for the eggs and all the way home but had to conceal my happiness before Andy got suspicious and started asking questions.

Tonight can not come sooner.

After getting a text from Ashley telling me his address and the time to show I decided that a simple yet cute outfit would be appropriate. I wanted to look good, and impress Ashley, but I didn't want to seem like I tried too hard. After trying on numerous outfits, I finally chose a grey strapless top and a pair of black ripped skinny jeans. I grabbed my favorite combat boots because they pulled the whole look together and ran off into the bathroom. As I was doing my makeup, smoky eye with winged eyeliner and mascara, Andy walked into my bathroom.

Looking me up and down he asked, "What are you getting ready for?" He leaned against the door frame and waited for my answer.

"Party." I replied calmly. I didn't understand why Ashley wanted me to be so secretive about going. I mean, yeah, I was underage but that doesn't mean I haven't had alcohol or gotten drunk before.

Andy's eyebrows furrowed together. "A party? Where?"

I pretended to turn my attention back to my makeup to avoid his reaction when I said, "Ashley Purdy's house." I noticed my makeup was done and muster up the courage to face Andy.

He looked furious.

"You're not going to that party." He ordered before turning around and walking out of my room. My eyebrows furrowed together as I followed him out, grabbing my stuff as I went.

I asked, "Why not?"

Andy spun around to face me. "I will not let you fall victim to Ashley." I got even more confused.

"What are you talking about?"

Andy grabbed his keys before saying, "All he cares about is sex. Nothing Else." I frowned. "You will not go to that party. I'm not letting you become another one of his sex toys."

Realization hit like a ton of bricks. "Is that... Is that why you never let me meet anyone from your band?" Andy sighed and nodded and suddenly, I was enraged. "You asshole!" I yelled hitting his chest. He looked a bit taken back by my outburst but otherwise remained solemn.

Andy glared down at me and yelled, " I'm trying to protect you from getting hurt! From being used! You should be thanking me!"

I shook my head angrily and pointed and accusing finger at him. "No! You're preventing me from having friends! From having fun! From having a fucking life Andy!" I lowered my voice and announced, "I'm going to that party and there isn't anything you can do about it."

Before Andy could stop me I ran out of the house to my car and sped away in a huff.

I pulled up to a one story house that was booming with music and had cars piling out of the driveway. My heart raced with excitement as I put my car in park in front of his house and got out. I walked up to the front door that was slightly ajar and walked inside, immediately going to find Ashley.

As I was walking through the living room, a tan hand tapped me on the shoulder. I spun around and smiled.

"Hey Dahlia! Glad you could come." Ashley slurred, obviously drunk. He had a beer in one hand and red solo cup that held a mystery drink in the other. "You look good.. Sexy actually."

I blushed. "Thanks.. Glad I could come to." Ashley extended the beer towards me to which I happily accepted. "A few beers wouldn't hurt." I thought.

I ended up have more than a few beers - way more. I was beyond intoxicated and was grinding my ass against Ashley who had his hands on my hips, guiding my body against his. My head was tilted to the side, giving Ashley room to place love bites on the exposed skin.

He moved his lips to my ear and said, "Let's move this to the bedroom." I nodded eagerly and felt Ashley smirk against my skin before kissing my neck one more time and pulling away. I stumbled drunkenly as he dragged me through the crowds of people and just before we were on the stairs, I made eye contact with a very furious Andy.

The second we were in the hallway, I was slammed against the wall with Ashley's lips hungrily on mine. He ran his tongue across my bottom lip, asking for entrance. I eagerly granted him the access and moaned as his tongue massaged against mine. Ashley's strong hands gripped my thighs just below my ass and hauled me up. I wrapped my arms around his neck to keep from falling as he walked us to his bedroom, his lips never leaving mine. The second I was thrown on his bed I shuffled up, giving him room. Ashley smiled and shut the door, his drunken state forgetting to lock it, and crawled on top of me, his lips reattaching to mine. Before I knew it, we were both down to our underwear.

"God..." Ashley gushed, running his hands down my sides and over my hips. "Your body is magnificent." I giggled and pulled him down for another kiss.

I whispered, "Get the condom"

Ashley stood up and as he was rummaging through his drawer for what we needed, Andy burst through the door looking as angry as ever.

this chapter is super long so I had to end it sooner than I would have liked. sort of a cliff hanger though right?
