We Don't Belong

Dirty Looks and Truths

After hours of convincing and whining from Katelyn, I finally decided to go to the party. Only because she wanted to go and I just couldn't let her go by herself. I got dressed and curled my hair but when Katelyn saw me she didn't seem impressed.

"You do know what kind of party we're going to right?" I was wearing a cream colored dress that had gold round stud things decorating it with a zipper in the back and a pair of heels that matched. She was in a black dress that was form fitting and her hair was straightened and down. "You did see how Andy dresses right?"

“Does it look like I care?” I shook my head, “No.” I whispered sarcastically.

She shrugged her shoulders, “Suit yourself. You’re going to look like a fool.” She sat down on my bed and started to mess with my phone.

“No everyone else is going to look like a fool. I’m going to look normal.” I answered finishing my makeup.

She rolled her eyes, “Whatever are you ready?”

I turned and nodded, “Yep.”

Katelyn was right; I did look like an idiot. I stuck out like a sore thumb in the black clad crowd. But I was dressed up so there was no way I was going to sulk; I was going to have some fun. “I’m going to go to the bar to get something to drink.” I yelled over the loud rock music.

Katelyn nodded, “I’ll come with.”

I walked over to the bar with Katelyn close behind me. There were so many people there and I hadn’t even spotted Andy yet.

“So what will it be?” The bartender asked checking me and Katelyn out.

“Why don’t you fix them up some red bull and vodka?” Somebody said from beside us. I looked over to see Andy with another guy right beside him. The guy dressed like Andy so I’m guessing it was somebody from his band. He had the long hair and the makeup but he was a little shorter than Andy.

“Um…no thanks.” I answered, “We’ll take two Cherry Amps.”

The bartender nodded and turned around.

“Hey I was just trying to show you a good time.” Andy said leaning against the bar so that he was almost touching me.

“I don’t need to drink to have a good time. Maybe you should try it sometime.” I answered back.

“Wow you were right she is hot and she does hate you. I thought I would never see the day where there was a woman that genuinely hated Andy Biersack.” The guy said with a wide grin. His voice was higher pitched than Andy’s and he seemed to be enjoying the fact that Andy was being turned down. “I’m Christian Coma but everyone just calls me CC.” The guy introduced himself.

“Riley Rose, and this is Katelyn Star.” I said pointing to Katelyn. “So what else has Andy said about me?” I asked giving CC a pleasant smile.

“NOTHING!” Andy interrupted, “I have said nothing else.”

But CC continued on, “Nothing much besides how much he wants to fuck you. And how hard you make his…”

“I did not say that!” Andy chimed in, frowning at CC. “I did not say that.” He repeated looking at me as I gave him an amused look.

“Oh and nice job on Worsnop’s nose! I heard the story and you are now my idol.” CC grinned.

Katelyn and I laughed, “I think we should believe CC and not Andy, he sounds totally unbiased to me.” Katelyn said.

“Would you like to go dance or something? Let the two love birds be alone?” CC asked Katelyn.

She looked at me and I shrugged. I wasn’t going to hold her back. If she wanted to have fun she could have all the fun she wanted. I could hold my own. She looked back at CC and smiled, “Sure.”

“Do you want to go somewhere else?” Andy asked. “Like somewhere quieter?”

I thought about it for a second. Did I really want to go somewhere alone with Andy? “You’re going to leave your own party?” I asked confused.

He shrugged his shoulders, “Technically it’s my bands party. And I really don’t think they will mind. Besides I really need a cigarette.”

I looked around for a second and then back at Andy. “Sure.” I answered with a small smile.

He looked surprised, like he wasn’t expecting that answer, and then smiled. He grabbed my hand, making me feel kinda tingly…weird. I shrugged off the feeling and followed him through the crowded club.

It felt good to be back in the fresh night air, even though I was only in the club for a short period of time. “Wait a second.” Andy said stopping as he let go of my hand. He pulled a pack of cigarettes out of his pocket and lit one up, taking a deep draw of it and then letting the smoke out. I was never really a fan of smoking but I wasn’t dumb enough to ridicule someone for it like drinking.

“Better?” I asked as he put his pack and lighter away.

He nodded, “How does some pizza sound?” He asked with a smirk.

“I love pizza.” I said with a smile. “I can eat it every day and not be tired of it.”

He chuckled, “Right? I know the perfect place.” He grabbed my hand with his free hand, leading the way.

When we walked into the pizza parlor the waitress looked at us like we were crazy. We must have looked like quite the pair, Andy in his leather, studs and makeup and me in my club attire. We sat down into a spot with booths, each of us taking our own.

“I like your dress. I don’t think I told you that.” Andy said looking at me as I looked at the standup menu on the table.

I put the menu down and shook my head. I crossed my arms over my chest and leaned forward so my arms were on the table. “No you didn’t. Thank you but I stood out in the club. I should have listened to Katelyn when she told me to change but I just told her I didn’t really give a shit.”

He smirked, “You’re very hard headed.”

“Is that a good thing?” I asked tilting my head to one side.

He nodded, “There’s nothing wrong with being hard headed, it just shows that you know what you want and I find nothing wrong with that. It’s kind of what my band advocates. Stick up for who you are and what you want. Hell, I’m very hardheaded even.”

“Yeah you are.” I said in agreement.

“Are you guys ready to order?” The waitress asked practically glaring at us.

“Yeah.” Andy replied with a smile. “We’ll like a large peperoni pizza and for you to stop giving us dirty looks.” The waitress gave him a surprised look; she probably wasn’t expecting Andy to call her out. “Thank you.” He said turning back to me.

After she walked away I started cracking up. “Her face was priceless.”

Andy shrugged his shoulders, “I call it like it is.”
