Icy Heart

People say I was born an 'emotionless' child, the only time I ever really made a sound was at birth. My dad says I was born a 'blessed' child, giving him less stress than the average Joe. Always going on about how grateful he is that I didn't really ask for anything. Other people closer to the family say I was born the 'traumatized' child, seeing how my mother died in the process of giving birth to me. So when we moved to Ohio, the neighbors didn't know the full story to why I was so quiet, shy, and invisible to most others. They gave me the nickname emotionless at the age of 4 and it just stuck. People closer to me today like my best friend from grade school and my dad know that I have a heck of a lot emotions... just all bundled up into a rubber band like ball.

Speaking of my dad, he has brown hair and blue eyes. He's surprising mistaken for Brad Pitt a lot (see what I did there?). Oh but me on the other hand, I've got black hair with blonde highlights and these bright green eyes that draw attention if I'm not looking down. Hence why I am looking down. All the time. Apparently I get my looks and persona from my mom, seeing how dad is just so freaking bubbly! He's always so cheerful and outgoing and sometimes it gets pretty annoying if you ask me. Sometimes my bestie Emily is mistaken to be his child since she's around me all the time it's easy to compare her to me and see there is a lot more of similarities between her and my dad. Her personality is so much like my dad's it scares me, she also used to have curly dirty blonde hair until she dyed it red. None the less, they make up my annoying and loving family.

Outside of my annoying and loving family, I've met only one person who seemed to understand me. The first to put a label on my heart too. I met him when I was eight but he didn't stay for long at my elementary school seeing how he moved and went to a different school. Apparently he stayed in Ohio but I don't remember his name or his face. The only thing I remember about him was what he said to me before he moved away. He said " I think some hearts are similar to ice and snow from the winter season. They're always so cold and some people just can't stand them, but there is always the spring season that brings along feelings of love that melt the ice and snow. Like another heart that kicks the emotions of love back into an icy heart. I also think you have one of these hearts. " At first i didn't understand what he was saying, his words seemed so complicated for a 8 year old. Just as he began to leave from school, he turned around and said " I'll see you again! ". Of course, me being the confused child I was asked "When will we meet? How will you know its me?". That bastard of a child just smiled and said " Of course I'll know its you! I'll remember if i ever forget by just looking into your eyes. They match your name you know. Bye-Bye for now Jade! " He left without another word, running toward his parents. I swore to myself that if I ever met him again, I would beat him up for not saying where he was moving. He was my first crush I'd ever had with the exception of celebrities, and there wasn't too many of those either. I told myself 'If you're going to forget most of him, then remember something that can differ him from a crowd'. Of course i didn't remember any of his looks like the smart person I am...not. But If i ever meet him again, I'm sure it will be fun.
