DIE FOR YOU

Several more weeks had passed, and the first leg of America was over. The two bands, and their crew and managers were all gathered in LAX waiting to catch their flight to London, England. Ashley and Christina were now officially together, had been for two weeks, and the only time they seemed to be apart was when one needed the toilet or they were performing. The boys had never seen Ashley so happy! At first they, as mates did, had taken the piss out him a bit, but then they realised just how happy he was. Loretta at first hadn’t been totally happy with everything, and had warned Ashley if he hurt her, his life would no longer be worth living but then she’d settled, she was only just being a protective big sister after all, it was natural. But it wasn’t just Ashley and Christina that were close; everyone began to notice the closeness between Jake and Marcella too, though they both denied anything was going on. As Jake’s best friend, Jinxx could see right through that. Solaris also noticed that Andy seemed to always end up stood closest to her but she said nothing about it and kept her thoughts to herself. Andy seemed to be on her mind a lot as of late, and it was kind of worrying her. Sure she thought he was a great guy and yeah he was really good looking but there was no way she could actually like him right? These were the thoughts going through her head as she sat next to Andy in the airport. Ashley was sat on floor with Christina’s head in his lap, Jinxx, Jake and Marcella had gone to find food, Loretta had gone to look round the shops and CC had his nose buried six inches deep into a book. Andy had headphones in, though she could hear it herself due to him having it that loud, and she wasn’t the only one, the others could too. “Andy doesn’t do music quiet,” Ashley said to her, “He’ll be deaf before he hits 30 I swear…” “If he’s not already,” said Christina giggling. Solaris rolled her eyes as Ashley lent down and kissed her, and turned to look at CC. “What ya reading CC?” she asked him. “It’s called All Together Dead,” he replied, “Do you know the TV series True Blood?” Solaris nodded, “Yeah…” “It’s one of the books that goes with that.” “Oh cool I didn’t know there were book versions; I have seen some of the TV series.” “Me too,” he grinned, “and the Vampire Diaries.” “Vampire Diaries are better than True Blood!” Christina butt in, “And both are even better than Twilight!” “Agreed,” said CC, “I can’t stand Twilight! Harry Potter is so much better!” “I don’t mind Twilight,” said Solaris, “Well I don’t mind the books, don’t like the films though…” “What films?” Jake, Jinxx and Marcella were back with food from McDonalds. “Twilight,” said Ashley, Jinxx and Jake made a face; Marcella pouted “Twilight is amazing!” Everyone looked at her like she’d just said something utterly offensive. “What? Personal opinion…” “Still Twilight is shit, my personal opinion, Harry Potter rules!” CC laughed, “I said that!” Loretta returned with a couple of shopping bags, one she gave to her sister, “I saw this and thought you might like it.” Christina opened the bag and pulled out a short, black, strapless dress, “It’s perfect Lori thanks so much!” “Lori?” “My nickname, she’s called me that since we were kids.” “I can’t wait to see you in that dress baby you’re gonna look gorgeous!” Christina giggled, “Thank you Ashy Boo” Jinxx, Jake and CC snorted, “Ashy Boo!!” “Oh sod off!” “Flight ZB483 to London now boarding!” “Hey that’s us!” “Someone poke Andy, has he fallen asleep?” “Andy…” Solaris gently poked him, “A-Andy?” Ashley took one of Andy’s headphones out and yelled, “Andrew!!” down his ear. Andy practically jumped out of his skin and did jump out of his chair, nearly knocking Solaris over, “Oww what the..? Ash that hurt!” Ashley backed away, “Sorry mate…” Andy sighed, “Its okay…” “Enough talk you two,” said Jinxx “Get a move on!” Andy looked confused, “What?” “Flight’s boarding!” “Oh right…” So the group made their way to the gate where they showed their passports and boarding cards and then made the way down the tunnel to the plane. “I hate how I look on my passport,” Ashley whined as he shoved it back into his bag, “I’d look so much better if you were aloud to smile, but NO!” “Ash you talk way too much, do everyone a favour and shut up!” everyone laughed. “Ashy Boo you sitting next to me on the plane?” Christina asked him, “Pwease?” “No Ashy Boo!” said Jake, “Sit next to me!” “Ashy Boo?” Andy looked confused again. “Chrissie’s new nickname for him!” Andy laughed, “Ha!” “What are you then Chrissie Boo?” Christina nodded and giggled, “Yep!” “Oh brother…” And so Ashley sat with Christina and Loretta next to her, Jake sat with Marcella and Jinxx, and CC, Andy and Solaris were left together. Once they had taken off, Andy put his headphones back in and fell straight to sleep, CC resumed reading his book, Solaris got her laptop out, Loretta got out a puzzle book, Christina also fell asleep, head rested on Ashley’s shoulder, Ashley himself got a sketch book out and started drawing, Jinxx pulled out a newspaper and Jake had brought his portable DVD player and started watching a film with Marcella. About halfway through the flight, food was brought round, Christina had reawakened by that point but Andy was still dead to the world. “He could sleep for America,” said CC “Sleeping is second nature to him.” “Should we wake him?” Solaris asked. “Nah leave him be, he’ll only be groggy again and he don’t like airplane food anyway.” “Why is it bad?” CC chuckled, “Andy thinks so, but it depends really…” “On what?” The aircraft you fly with, some do really good food but others are crap.” “I see…” CC took the foil lid off his dish of food, “Chicken Hotpot.” “It looks okay…” CC grabbed his fork, picked up and potato slice and took a bite. “Well?” “Quite nice actually… hot though!” Solaris giggled, “Was going to be silly it just came out of a hot place!” “I know I know!” Solaris looked at Andy, “It’s a good thing he’s got headphones in or we may have woken him.” “Nah he sleeps through anything…” “Really?” “Yep! He once told me, when he was child, one night the house across the street caught fire… there were fire engines, ambulances and police cars all there with their sirens going and Andy slept through the whole thing!” “No way!” “Yep … I was amazed too!” “CC, Solaris we thought Ashley talked too much, shush!” Jinxx’s voice came from the row off seats in front of them, “People don’t want to hear you talking while they’re eating!” “So shut up and eat your food then Jinxx!” Solaris retorted. CC laughed, “She got you there!” Not much else was said for the remainder of the flight; Andy did spend most of it asleep but was awake for the final two hours. Once she also woke up, Christina and Ashley did talk, but in little whispers between them, which kind of annoyed Loretta after a while and she went to sleep. Jake and Marcella watch about 4 films and then both fell asleep too; in fact CC was the only one who didn’t sleep during the flight at some point as he just couldn’t sleep on planes. Solaris was really excited when they were flying over London heading down towards Heathrow International Airport, she could not believe it… she was in England at last!
