Ashley and I had been talking about my past and I explained how I had came to be as I am today. The lies and betrayal that had touched my life . He was a amazing listener ,he would wait while I talked,if I choked up he held me . I couldn't help but look into his eyes and fall deeper than I had ever. Ash was asking me about my life as a pup when a howling cut through the air and broke my heart. Kayla was some where and hurt. Ashley's head cocked back too. I stared at him realizing he was more like me now. I was truely meant for him and him for me. I grabbed his hand and went running. My only family might be seriously in danger.
I followed the horrible sounds. She was on her side in mid transfomation. I knew that it some times really hurt but I had never heard these sounds come from her. We were the kind of people who grin and bear pain. We never let it show. Not even to each other. She was finally back in human form and naked. Her body racked with sobs. I dropped to my knees and pulled her to my chest. I ran fingers through her hair. "What happened?" Her sobs slowed but didn't stop. "Andy doesn't want me.He rejected me." I had heard storied about people in the pack dying if rejected by imprinted mates. I looked up at Ashley. Just the thought of losing him made my heart race and tears filled my eyes. I asked Ashley to get something to cover her . I had lost everyone but her. I wasn't going to take this.
