Kayla's pov.
I stood over a rabbit's body. It's eyes were still open and staring at me. I looked over at Cassie and her eyes pleaded me to say something. The white female huffed at us to eat. They had adopted us two weeks before and we still had problems switching our diets. We were forced to still eat it but it scarred me for life.

Fastfoward 10 years I was now 15 and Cassie was 14. We had believed it was a normal day ,chasing squirrels and other wolves through the forest but the pack leader Havel called us to the middle circle where all our meetings happened ,we were in trouble. He started him talk but when he moved his coat distracted me. It was so black and glossy. He had found us that horrible night. Luckly Cassie was too young to remember all the blood ,I myself had just stopped having night mares. I was so caught up in my thoughts I missed what he was saying till Cassie gasped and started sobbing. "What? what's wrong ?"I asked nudging her with my nose . "We are going to change to night. like papa Havel. " I remembered his unusual smell was pleasant but it was too sweet for my nose. His voice was scratchy and deep ,the words too much for us. We had our own language."Well that can't be too bad .It could be fun." Havel smiled at me. "Well you should be excited .We find a mate for you tomorrow." My positive out look shot to hell as what he said processed. "Uh..what?" He nodded as he pulled the rest of the pack in. "Tomorrow this girls become women in our eyes. Single males leave a present near their sleeping moss as a token to think of you when they decide. " I stared at the ground trying to think of a way to get Havel to call this off. I turned to Cass and got closer as if to comfort her. "We leave tonight."

I had planned to leave as soon as the sun came out and the wolves went to sleep, but Cassie hadn't showed up yet. I started to get really worried as noises started coming towards me. A pretty blonde human came out of the trees. I dropped close to the ground and growled as my hackles raised. She whispered something and touched my head. I asked her name but she shook her head at me like she didn't understand. I went to touch her with my forehead as a peace sign but pain paralized me. I hit the ground as my bones snapped and my skin tore. I howled as I was uncreated . The girl stood over me and watched as I became human.
