I shot up from the bed as Andy jumped out the window to chase after the screams. I ran down to my Nanny's bedroom and retrived her pistol. I had never shot it and I had no plans on it unless my life and Andy's depended on it. The night air was chilled as I swung open the back door and looked for Andy. The darknessn was unsettling and the scream haunted me my every step. "Andy?" I whispered as I shined my light into the forest. "Alex.. Call for help." I swung around holding the pistol in front of me. Andy was holding a shaking and bleeding girl.

We sat at the police station for hours waiting for news. They had question me and Andy each for hours and I hadn't seen him since the ambulance had showed up. "I knew her." I thought as I shook. I had seen her chasing after Brittany trying to get her attention. To fit in a group. I had always liked her. She was never mean and sometimes she would tell Brittany a teacher was coming so she would stop and leave. I never wanted her hurt. Now she was in the hospital covered in cuts and in ICU. "Where's Andy?" I shot my head up to see A group of guys that looked identical to Andy. A long hair man had his fist balled and was giving the man up front a stare down. " I need to see him." I squeaked at his growling voice. How did that man not run scared? I was almost running myself. The man and his friends turned toward me. I bowed my head and hid my face."Are you Alex?" I nodded. The men all shook my hand. "We have heard about you. We are the keepers. I'm happy Andy found his love. " I stared at the man .He was beautiful. They all were . They shared the light that radiated off of Andy. "Keepers? " He nodded sitting next to me. Taking my hand and brushing my hair back. "We all have a person we protect. Some one who called us in their time of need that we watch over. " I grimaced at the thought of sharing Andy with someone else. He was mine.He had been mine for years and I wanted to share his wonderful presence with no one. The man smiled at me . "You're different .Andy picked you and came alive for you. He's yours and you are his no please stop giving me death glare." I smiled at him. "I'm Alex who are you guys?" They each introduced themselves . The man was named CC and I remember to never get on his bad side . Andy came running out and grabbed me . "She lived Alex! She's alive!" Life might unwind finally.


I was wrong. So very wrong. School was a war zone. People were pushing me and slamming me into lockers. I mentally beeged for Andy to find me . 7 girls were dead and Brittany had put a number over my head. I was a 'murderer' again even though one girl had lived and the police had cleared my name. I sat in math ,finally able to breathe. I kept my head down scribbling in my note book. The door open and in walked Andy . Instantly I could breathe better. Andy went to sit next to me but Brittany grabbed him and sat him in front of her. "Well hey there tall dark and sexy. Want to be with a real woman?" He chuckled running his hand through his hair. "Oh course I do. That's why I'm not with you." Her face dropped as he got close enough to whisper. "Touch me or her again and I'll eat your goddamn soul. " He stood up and sat next to me. He ran his fingers through my hair as he did his notes. If looks could kill my head would have melted from the looks Brittany was giving me. I had won a battle but the war was just starting.
After school I was going to the hospital. I had to see Vannessa . The girl Andy found last night. When I showed up she was up. I walked over to the bed slowly. Holding Andy in front of me in case I had to run. She smiled up at Andy and touched my hand."You're fine . I don't want you to be scared of me because of how I look. I'm not mad." I sat next to her ,still shaking. "I know you're still hurt but I need to know who is killing girls. " Her face paled and a sweat broke out on her skin. "I told them it wasn't you. Isn't that enough for you guys?" I shook my head and lightly touched her cut up little hand . She looked like she could break if I moved too fast. " You will never believe me. " Andy sat next to her, brushing her hair back and using his body to create a place for her to feel safe. Like he had always done for me. "We can protect you." She whimpered lightly and dropped her head."It was Brittany."
