Their lips meshed together more desperate and passionate than ever before as the burning black lines thickened spreading like wildfire across Jake's skin. Every muscle clenched thriving in the love and pain that clashed causing a whirlwind of emotions as CC's fingers gently ran down Jake's arms leaving burning hot lines but CC hadn't noticed and Jake wouldn't let him, he wanted to savour this moment - their last moments. Jake wrapped his arms around CC's slim waste trying to keep him close, how could he leave this man? How can they take away their love? Tears stung the back of his eyes but he refused to cry -to break down when his love needed him the most. Though Jake knew their time was short he was determined to never let CC go. His heart pounded in his chest like CC's drum solos as he leaned closer deepening the kiss. Pulling away slowly he winced at the feeling in his gut- it twisted and turned taking his mind off his arms and forcing him to focus on the deep brown eyes staring at him, they shone in the light glistening with un-shed tears as CC's bottom lip quivered.
Jake softened his stare not letting the pain show as he traced his fingers across CC's tanned skin. He couldn't believe he had him in his arms again but he could see the doubt and disbelief in CC's eyes. There was a tugging in his chest, one that Jake knew all too well, he had to say it before he lost his last chance!
"Christian I love you more than I do the stars, I would cross heaven and the deepest depths of hell for you. You mean the world and beyond to me. You smile is enough to snuff out any doubt my heart could ever hold, your eyes are the only thing I can never stop staring at, seeing the joy, love and passion behind them is what made me fall for you. Christian I fell so hard that I can barely stand before you without felling weak to the knees, I love you with all my heart and soul"

Tears welled from CC's eyes, a never ending river as he listened to Jake speak. His heart felt as though it would explode and his lungs burned from the breath he was holding in. This man before him was the most beautiful creature he had ever seen and here he was crying like a fool at his lovers words. Smiling CC reached out and pulled Jake into a tight hug, the pain in his body long forgotten as all he wanted was to be as close to Jake as possible. Here was this amazing man with a heart of gold who could say anything and CC would lose control of his heart beat as it shot throw the roof. A man who could understand every feeling, thought and action CC held within him and he loved him no matter what? CC felt guilty as he tried to think of something to say, anything!

"I- what was that?" CC stumbled over his words as Jake's brown tear streaked eyes met his own. A small smile graced Jakes pink lips as he leaned in and rested them once again against CC's quivering ones. Pulling away slightly Jake laughed lightly at CC's impatient eyes before speaking.
"They would have been my wedding vowels, had it not been for the accident" Jake whispered the last part grimly as pain and anger flash across his eyes. CC felt lost looking at Jake, here he was alive though now he remembered being told Jake, his love had died trying to save Sammie. Pain and confusion was all CC felt now as he moved away from the man before him. What was happening? Had he gone mad? Was he dreaming? It all felt so real till now, now it felt raw and wrong to see Jake alive.

"What?" Was all CC could utter before Jake broke down in tears, great heaving sobs shook his whole body as he covered his face. CC sat motionless staring at the think dark lines littering Jakes pale arms, they never used to be there. But as he watched fear rose within him, the lines were moving! CC rushed forward pulling at Jakes arm to see but to his shock Jake hissed in pain pulling away roughly and hiding his blackening arms. His eyes were haunting to look at as all that filled them was sorrow and pain. What was happening to him? CC could feel hot tears soaking his cheeks once again but he didn't both to wipe them away. Instead he reached for Jake pulling his shaking body close.

"Jake will I lose you again?" CC whispered stroking Jakes head soothingly though he felt like breaking down all over again. Jake whimpered pulling CC closer as he cried harder burring his face into CC now damp hospital gown. CC felt his heart drop as he knew the answer, he was going to lose his love and this time he could feel…it was for good.
"CC I'm dead, an angel, I escaped so I could say goodbye to you but I don't want to leave you! I don’t want to lose you!Christian I love you!" Jake practically screamed into CC's chest. CC pulled Jake up cupping his swollen cheeks staring into his eyes. He couldn't believe what he was hearing, Jake was an angel?

"Jake I don’t care what happens I. Love. You and that will never change" how could CC say that? Did he understand what Jake was telling him. Sighing Jake pulled away holding out his burning arms and staring at the half black skin. CC started with concern in his eyes, he couldn't tell him why this was happening but soon he wouldn't be able to tell him anything.
"CC I-I" the words caught in his throat before he could say them, why did it have to be this way? Even after death the world is still cruel and cold hearted.

"Love isn't always fair" CC's pain streaked voice broke the silence as he clenched his fists. Jake nodded weakly as his head hung heavy, his black hair covering his face. His mind felt ripped in two, he knew he had to leave his back was burning where his wings should be but his heart refused to let his go. He knew CC could see his struggle and feared he would let him go, if that happened he would never see CC again and then he would be truly dead.
"I love you Jake Pitts and I always will, though I don’t have a long ass speech like you Mr. fancy, I do love you from the end of this world to the next million and back. You mean EVERYTHING to me and I will never let my love for you go, you will forever be in my heart. Jake I love you to infinity and beyond" CC struggled to get through what he was saying but he could see the love returning to Jakes eyes.
"I love y-"

CC watched frozen as Jake struggled against the hand that had wrapped around him. A hooded figure behind him held him by his throat. His eyes stared at CC, his mouth moving but no words came out. The figures grip seemed to tighten as Jake begun to fade from existence.
"I LOVE YOU CC!"
With that they were gone. The white room silent and empty as CC screamed for the man he had lost once again. Nurses ran in pushing CC onto the bed and strapping him down. A sharp pain entered his arm as darkness ate at his vision.
"JAKE!" CC screamed before darkness took over.
