Broken Bones and Rebel Love

CC’s P.O.V’:
I glared at Jake as we drove down the painfully long drive way. Jake’s face was full of guilt and sadness, his huge puppy like eyes would flash to mine but only to fade back to the floor. Yeah I felt bad but what he said wasn’t funny, he’s been hanging with Ronnie way too much lately.
“I’m Sorry” Jake whispered lowering his head in shame. I sighed as my heart ached, seeing Jake sad made me want to break down and cry but what he did just make me angry.
“I wasn’t funny” My voice came out harsher then I wanted and I instantly regretted it. Jake’s face fell and his eyes glazed over with tears, but my stubbiness wouldn’t let me feel happy or sad for him. My eyes shot to the front porch of the triple story house and I smiled seeing Skyler waiting there for us.

“Hello CC, how ya been?” Sky smiled hugging me. I hugged back smiling down at her.
“I’ve been good, stressed from planning but good, what about you?” I asked letting her go, Sky’s face sort of hardened as she looked behind me.
“I was doing great until you brought him here” Sky’s words cut like a knife and I knew Jake would be backing away with the saddest look ever. I sighed before linking my arm with Skyler and dragging her inside.

“Come on I want to see my little man” I smiled trying to lighten the mood. Looking over my shoulder I noticed Jake wasn’t following but instead heading for the car, ‘oh well I’ll let him be alone for a bit’ I thought before following Sky to the second floor.
“DADDY!” Jamie squealed rushing over to me and jumping into my arms. I spun us around hugging my little boy tight.
“Did you miss me?” I asked placing him down and crouching in front of him so we were eyes level. Jamie smiled at me nodding before his face formed into a slight frown.
“Where’s Dad?” Jamie asked confused and slightly pouting, I sighed as Sky made a disapproving sound from the door. Jamie stood in front of me waiting patiently for me to answer.
“He’s outside but he should be in soon” I smiled and Jamie made a weird face before smiling too.
“Pack your bags and we’ll head home soon” I sighed getting up and leaving the room, Skyler looked at me before leading the way to the kitchen.

“I still don’t like him” Sky growled placing a coffee in front of me.
“You never like him from day one, what do you have against him?” I asked taking a sip and watching Sky closely. Sky scrunched up her nose and sat on the counter.
“I just don’t, he’s one of those people who don’t know when to stop or what to say, He’s up himself and all over you like he owns you, he’s annoying and not fit to be a father it disgusts me!” Sky’s words were harsh and hurt.
“He’s not up himself, yes he’s annoying and hangs off me sometimes but I do the same. HE is fit to be a Father, he loves Jamie and cares for him” I protested angrily. Sky scoffed before saying what she wanted.





“I don’t think you two should get married; you’re not right for each other. You crazy, fun, caring and teat people right, he on the other hand is stupid, boring, mean, a complete smart ass and brings you down and your so caught up in it all you just never noticed” Sky said this as if her opinion was the truth and nothing but the truth. I sat there stunned looking at my sister in disbelief.
“That’s not true” I said but even I didn’t sound sour and was debating at her words, was it true? And I just never noticed? Was my love blinding me?
“See even you are doubting your so called ‘Love’ for CC” Sky hissed, I knew that wasn’t true, she was just messing with my mind, I hoped.

“CC, Jinxx has come to pick me up, I don’t feel good” Jake said from the doorway and I jumped at his voice, how long had he been there? How much did he hear?
I nodded stiffly as my eyes scanned his face; he was pale and his eyes sad and hurt.
“Yeah run away” Sky muttered and Jake winced before walking over to me and kissing me check before leaving the room. I shot Sky a warning glare as I ran after Jake, but as I reached the door I stopped. Jake and Jamie were hugging and Jamie was crying.
“Shhh I’ll be back soon I’m only going to hang with uncle Jinxx, its ok” Jake’s soft voice reached my ears as I watched them. Jamie nodded before kissing Jake’s check and letting him leave. My eyes grew sad as Jake looked at me with no emotion before leaving the house.

Jake’s P.O.V’:
I had heard everything, I knew Sky didn’t like me but WOW. I felt my stomach flip and twist as CC looked unsour as if he was actually debating if our love was true or not. I felt my heart shatter, sending Jinxx a text to come get me I waited a few more minutes listening to their convocation. Once I got a text back from Jinxx saying he’ll come get me I walked into the room.
“CC, Jinxx has come to pick me up, I don’t feel good” I said sadness and anger lacing my voice, CC seemed confused and scared before he nodded. My eyes slowly drifted to an un satisfied Sky,
“Yeah run away” Sky growled making me wince, I tried to focused on CC as I walked over to him and pecked his check making my stomach twist and my heart ache.

As I walked into the hall I saw Jamie walking towards me and tears threatened to fall.
“Dad don’t cry please” Jamie whispered, he may be young but he was a smart boy. I put on a fake smile and crouched down to hug him.
“I’m going to go hang with Jinxx for a bit ok” I whispered as Jamie entered my arms.
“You and Daddy are fighting, I can feel it DAD PLEASE DON’T LEAVE” Jaime sobbed onto my shoulder and my heart shattered even more. I could hear CC running towards us so I decided to make it seem like I was only going for a few hours.
“Shhh I’ll be back soon I’m only going to hang with uncle Jinxx, its ok” I softly spoke, calming Jamie so he would stop shaking. Jamie nodded before kissing my check and letting me leave. I looked over at CC just before I reached the door, my face drained of emotion as I looked at his sad guilt face.

Jinxx’s P.O.V’:
I waited for Jake to exit the house; Ryan was in the passenger seat looking worried. I had told him something was up because Jake never leaves CC’s side these days.
“Hay babe it’s okay I’m sour he’s just wanting to hang” I said calmly as Jake exited the house. His face was pale and emotionless as if everything had left his body.
Ryan made an uneasy sound as CC came and stood in the door, just watching Jake walk away. I jumped out of the car and opened the door for Jake. I gave him a look as his eyes met mine.
“Not happy” Jake whispered emotionless before getting in and closing the door. I shot CC a glare and he seemed on the verge of tears, I was going to have to find out what happened once we got to my house because this was weird.
