holy shit, there was alot of soldiers surrounding us. but then again we did have alot of wild ones. i took a swing at one of the soldiers with my knife instantly killing him, i watched the cloaked figure drop his weapon and fall to the ground. i looked around to see ashley plunging his knife into a soldiers heart then run to another and kill that one too. suddenly i was faced with another soldier but i diddnt have time to stop this one, he grabbed my arm and forced me to drop my weapon.
he dragged me to the end of the battle field and just as he was about to plunge my own weapon into my neck he fell to the ground. i looked up to see juliet holding a dagger and smiling at me "you might want to be a bit more careful white rabbit" she said effortlessly kicking a soldier that was running up behind her, she turned around and stabbed him before helping me back up. i kissed her on the cheek then told her to get back in the compound where she would be safe, as usual she ignored me and continued to fight. that was my dragonfly, she never listened to me and always did what she wanted to do, most of the time she was alright but we had never been in this situation before.
i watched her effortlessly kill a couple soldiers before being snapped back into reality by jake calling for me. he was being pinned down by a soldier and his weapon had been taken away, i ran towards him and tackled the soldier which let jake get up and grab his weapon. the soldier was strong but i managed to get on top of him and slit his throat. after jinxx killed the last soldier we did a body check to see if any od the wild ones had been killed, luckily everyone was alive but we did have some injuries but it was nothing we couldnt handle. when we got back to the compound we sorted the healthy from the injured and got to work on healing them. the worst of the injuries was a deep cut in a guys arm.
"you alright buddy?" i asked crouching down next to him, he couldnt have been more than 17 years old "yea- ouchh" he was cut off by his own groans of pain "ooh dont move your arm, let me just go and get juliet she knows exactly how to heal this" the kid nodded and i went off to find juliet. when i found her she was sat in her room in the compound twirling her dagger covered in blood in her hands "hey dragonfly, you alright?" i said sitting down next to her she nodded then turned to me "andy? how long until we can be free?" i pulled her into a hug "i dont know baby, im sorry" i said kissing her forehead "come on dragonfly, we need your caring womanyness" i said making her laugh. i loved her laugh.
