Our big family (book three of Unbroken series)

I ran into the Maternity Ward. Kit, and Andy were sitting in the lobby. Kit's face was a light pink, and Andy's expression was blank. They wouldn't look at each other, though they held hands. I didn't know if Quinn was okay or not but I had to ask.
"Is she okay at least?" My voice broke through the piercing silence. They both looked up at me in shock.
"She'll be fine. Quinn's a trooper she'll get through it" Kit said smiling, Finally at least a smile to cheer up this fucking miserable place. I thought as I looped my keys through my belt loop.
"Can I see her?" I asked looking at the both of them, Andy pointed to a door with a In Use sign on it. I smiled, A nurse in dark blue scrubs came out with a peach figure. I breathed and sat next to Kit she took my hand in assurance that Quinn was fine. I knew Quinn was fine but it was only a matter of time before I saw her. And I really want to see her.
It was another two hours till I saw Quinn in a hospital room. Her eyes were blissfully closed, and her sleeping figure twisted and curved under the blanket. Isabella was expected at any moment now until then I sat in a chair next to Quinn. Her hand reached out to me, then I knew she wasn't sleeping. Her lips turned into a light smile, I smiled, and took her hand. Her soft skin fluttering under my fingers.
"Hey you." She said her voice barely a whisper, I cupped her cheek and let my thumb run in circles.
"Hey" I whispered as her blue eyes sought out mine.
"Psst. Is she sleeping." Kit said poking her head through the door, I shook my head and she came in Isabella in her arms. I gasped, and Quinn sat up. Her smile widening.
"Hi." She said taking the baby in her arms, Isabella's black eyes matched mine. Kit smiled, Her phone rang.
"Brad. I'll be right back." She said, stepping out of the room. I looked at Isabella. She definitely looked like me and Quinn, Quinn stuck her tongue out trying to make the baby smile. The whole time I spent watching Quinn play, and make silly faces at Isabella made realize how much I actually wanted this, how much my Doubt's and little questions meant nothing. Quinn looked at me. Her onyx hair curving over her shoulder.
"Do you want to hold her?" Her smokey voice impacting my train of thought.
"Uh. S-sure" I stuttered she handed me my Baby Girl, Isabella smiled and rested softly in my arms. I kissed her small forehead, The small pink blanket wrapped around her like a hug.
"Hi," I whispered, Andy walked into the room and smiled. He crossed his arms over his chest, Quinn giggled as I made a funny face.
"Okay well we'll see you in a bit......... Okay bye dad." Kit said, hanging up her phone and smiling as her eyes darted across the room.
"You two are the cutest parents ever." She added, digging her phone into her pocket.
"Oh god we haven't even started Kit." Quinn finally spoke, I laughed and handed her back Isabella. Quinn took out her phone and took a picture of her and Isabella. Babies first selfie I thought as I started laughing. couple minute later Brad came into the room, His eyes darted from me too Quinn, Too Isabella. He smiled, and his eyes widened.
I updated my status: February 13th 2014 My baby girl Isabella Lynn Purdy was born. Once it went through not even five minutes later a hundred people liked it, and shared it.
It was another week since Quinn would get out of the hospital. And it would be seven days that I visited the hospital. And Once Quinn did she gave me a hug, Kissed me. The thing I would miss about her not being pregnant was actually trying to take care of her.
"Okay.........." She said walking into the apartment, and setting the carrier on the counter. She giggled, My tell was she was happy to be home and not in the hospital, and I liked her home too.
