ANDY'S P.O.V
my fist hit the wall with a loud thud “fuck” I muttered under my breath, I heard a faint giggle behind me, I turned to see Juliet and Ashley both smirking at me “what?” I said aggressively I didn’t realise my tone until I saw their reactions, “calm down mate, why’d you punch the wall?” Ashley said walking up to me Juliet looked around then followed him like she didn’t realise he had left her standing in the doorway. I threw the newspaper down on the table next to me, Ashley picked it up and read the headline out loud “F.E.A.R armies taking over” he dropped the paper back on the table, I slammed both on my fists on the wall and rested my head on it. the room was silent and still, non of us knew what to do or say. a soft familiar hand rested on my sholder, Juliet, my dragonfly “andy? are you alright?” she whispered in my ear “im fine” I said shrugging her off, I didn’t want her to see me upset.
Ashley grabbed Juliets wrist and pulled her away from me, “Ashley, stop!” she said trying to get out of his grip “no go with him, I need some time” I said still not looking at her. she wiggled her wrist out of Ashleys grip and stormed out, Ashley paused for a second “you alright?” he said nodding towards me, I turned away from the wall and nodded back. he headed out and closed the door after he left. as soon as I was alone I lifted up the table and threw it against the wall, I watched as the wooden table shattered against the brick wall then picked up a glass and threw that too. the sound of shattering glass was almost peaceful.
I stepped backwards until my back was against the wall again, I sank to the ground and cupped my head in my hands. “no andy don’t fucking cry” I said to myself “how could you let any of this happen, so many of the wild ones have been fucking KILLED because you were so stupid” I picked up what was nearest to me and threw it against the wall with anger, i didn’t realise what i had thrown until i eventually got up to leave. i saw broken parts of the table and the glass on the ground against the wall and remains of what used to be a lighter, i guess that’s what i threw.
i needed my dragonfly to make me feel better, i had let F.E.A.R take over, it was all my fault. i had to face it, but if one things for sure i knew it would be me to end this war. i walked over the broken table, glass and lighter ignoring the damage it was doing to my feet. it was bright outside, a lot brighter then i imagined. i spotted Juliet sat on the sad not far away from the compound, as i walked i left a trail of blood coming from my feet. sitting down next to her i held Juliets hand and kissed it, she smiled at me. not many people could smile when we are in the middle of a war but she could and her smile caught on, when she smiled the world smiled
