~Jade’s Pov~

He just stares at me with big eyes, umm okay? “Hi, your name is?” I start off, he blankly blinks and realized what he was doing. “Uhh, umm yeah Andy.” he says staring back at the ground but keeps staring little by little. “Im sorry but is there something on my face?” I say kind of annoyed, “No, it’s just you look like somebody I know, sorry.” he says with his deep mellow toned voice. “No, i’m sorry. I said that in my bitchy tone.” I laugh, he just looks at me and says his parents wanted to invite us for dinner. I asked my mom and she said yes and we were going at 6:00.
We drove to their house even though it was no further than 20 feet or more away, we walked up and knocked on the door and waited for a response. “Jade, I told you to leave those home!” My mom whisper yells. “I never leave them at home anyway.” I say as I grab my headphones and stuff them back in my pocket. A young woman who looked pretty opened the door and invited us, I went to walk in till Brian flung me out the way and went in first. I walked in last and their house was beautiful, she walked us to the dining room where plates had been set out. “Andy come down we have guest!” I hear his mother yell at the bottom of the stairs.
I watch as the boy walks downstairs with his headphones in, as he does his mom pulls them out. “Why can’t I listen to my music?” Andy asks annoyed at his mother, “Because we have guest and its rude.” she explains to him. I look at him and just giggle, he’s just like me, a music entertained freak. He looks at me and just smiles then I feel Brian elbow me and whisper in my ear “Don’t fall in love with the emo, freak.” I wanted to turn around and slap the hell out of him. We all went to the table as the parents put out the food and we ate.

I barely ate anything, not that it was gross or anything I just don’t eat much. I see everyones plates are up and our parents are having their own conversation, I see Andy on his phone and Brian on his. “Andy, why don’t you go hang out with Brian?”
“I’m good.” Brian says still scrolling through his phone.
“ Oh, sorry for him. He doesn’t like what he labels us as ‘emos’, isn’t that what you said Brian?” I said all innocent and smile sweetly.
“Jade!” my mom says shocked.
“Shut up, Jade.” I hear Brian mutter.
“What? It’s true, you don’t want to be seen here, well I like him and I think he’s pretty cool. Come on Andy, can you show me your room?” I said turning to Andy to see he wasn’t even paying attention.
I pull a headphone out his ear and he lifts his head to look at me, “Can you show me your room?” I ask
“Yeah sure.” He says as he stands up and leads me upstairs to his room.
Holy shit! This kid is awesome, he has KISS, Mötley Crüe, and Alice Cooper posters on his wall and his room is so neat and just looks like my dream house.
“You like Kiss, Mötley, and Alice?” I ask him looking at his room.
“Yeah, i’m a big rock fan.” he says.
I look at his desk and see a picture of a girl, she looks almost just like me. I lift up the picture to look at it better, “Who’s this?” I ask Andy and turn to see him with a sad look on his face.
“My friend, Bree.” Is all he said, he looks lonely and upset.
“Why are you like this, you look like you could be fun if I got to know you better.” I say to him.
“I don’t want to get to know you better, I just want to be left alone.” He says quiet and turns his head the opposite way.
“I get it, don’t want to be stuck with the loser new girl at school tomorrow, huh?” he turns and looks at me.
“That’s not what I mean-”
“No, it’s fine. I’ll leave you alone.” I grab my purse and walk out of his room. I go downstairs and say i’m going home, I run across the yard into my house and slam the door. I scream as loud as I can. Why do boys have to be so stubborn?
