The Saved and the Damned

Mosh Pit Virgin

The music was blaring like always. But this was the first time in a while that I had been in the crowd. And people from Texas were not like the ones from LA. The boys had convinced me to go out into the crowd again. I was worried after the last show. Someone had been taken out on a stretcher, yet here I was. At the front of the crowd. What had I gotten myself in to? I took a deep breath as Black Veil Brides finally came on. These people were crazy. I knew that tomorrow morning at least ten busies were going to show up. Rock and Roll right? Or that’s what Ashley said every time he did something crazy.

This whole Earth thing was an experience I had to learn from. Everything was a new textbook that was filled with random interesting things that made me want to read more and more. But a rock crowd with people this energetic was not something I wanted to learn about first hand. The band did their thing for about an hour until The Legacy started to play. And what I fear was going to happen was happening. The crowd was opening up and before I knew it I was thrown in the pit. Yup, some little fragile Angel was tossed into the mosh pit.

All I was worried about was staying on my feet. When I finally got out of the pit I was terrified. I was checking my arms and hand to make sure they didn’t have any cuts on them. I ran my hands through my hair and took a deep breath. When I looked up on stage I could see that Andy was doubled over with laughter. The rest of the band was having a giggle fit as well. Were they laughing at me? How could they? I could have died.

But I started to laugh when Andy tried to sing while he was still laughing and his voice cracked. I couldn’t hold it in. At the end of the song Andy apologized for laughing. “I just feel sorry for the poor blonde in the mosh pit. First timer obviously.” Andy laughed again and the crowd yelled. “Give it up for the no longer mosh pit virgin.” Andy said panting. The crowd yelled again. “Alright, we’re going to end this amazing night with a little song call In The End.” Andy was still panting. “Sing it, in the end as you fade into the night! Who will tell the story of your life?!” I knew this song well enough to sing along to the chorus. “You guys were great! Aw man I always love coming here! Never die Texas! Never die!” Andy yelled when the song finished and they all ran off stage.

I rushed to get out of the crowd to join them back stage up I was stopped but the body guard. It wasn’t even Black Veil Brides body guard it was the smaller bands’. When he refused to let back stage I gave up and walked to the tour bus. Which was much farther than I rememeber. When I get on the bus I see all of the boys on their phones calling people. Andy ran over to me after throwing his phone at an undredy CC who fumbled his phone for a little bit and picked me up in his arms.

“I thought I lost you!” Andy yelled hugging me tight. My arms were being held down by his and my toes could barely touch the floor.

“Some guy wouldn’t let me go back stage so I walked around.” I tried to get out. I couldn’t breathe. “I’m fine Andy.” I giggled when he finally let me down.

The other guys were putting their phones back in their pockets and smirked at Andy. There was something going on that I wanted to know about. I couldn’t worry about it now though. It had been a long day and I was ready to get to my bunk.

“I’m kind of tired. I’m going to go to sleep.” I said shrinking back into the back of the bus. After I had gotten dressed and did my nightly thing of the teeth brushing and putting my hair in a bun I went to find that Andy was sitting cross legged in my bunk reading my poem book. “Can I help you?” I giggled sitting on bunk with him looking over to see what page he was on.

“Just reading.” Andy looked at me and smiled. The things about bunks was that they were quite small. So when he turned to look at me he was right in my face. But I liked it. He was way taller than me so he was hunching over. “It’s a good book.” He said glancing down at my lips. “Goodnight, Sydney.” He said closing my book. “Sweet dreams.”

“Goodnight rockstar.” I smirked at him after he had gotten off my bunk.

I laid my head down on mi pillow and closed the bunk curtain. I knew that I had to suppress and human emotions. But a part of me wanted so badly to run out of my bunk, jump into Andy’s arms, and kiss him like no tomorrow. Never before had I wanted to kiss someone. Nor is there currently anyone besides Andy that I want to kiss. But here I am. Wishing to sin against God.
