Land Of The Lost

Lynx pov:

I looked down at the off white sand and waited for Jinxx to do something. I looked up at him and blushed a bit. “Say something…” He just stood there looking so confused, making me laugh at him. “Jinxx, please…say something?” Instead of speaking, he cupped my cheek and kissed me, harder than I did him. He wrapped his free arm around my waist and pulled me closer, and I instantly wrapped my arms around his neck. We must have stayed like that for longer than I originally thought, because Ash literally pulled us apart, and was smiling.

“Yeah, I’m still here guys. Let’s go, keep your hands to yourselves seriously. I don’t want to see things I’m not meant to.” I went red at Ash’s comment and just stared at the sand as I started walking ahead of them in the direction that I thought the town was. Ash and Jinxx walked a bit behind me, talking; I had no idea what they were talking about though.

Ash Pov:

I smiled as Jinxx tried to figure out what happened. He had told me the night before that he did have feelings for our kitten but had no idea what to do about it. Especially after she kissed him before she ran off to face F.E.A.R on her own. That moment was priceless, that was the first time I had ever seen Jinxx speechless. “So Jinxx, what are you going to do now? Obviously the kitten likes you and since you kissed back, you like her too.”

“I don’t know. I want to be with her, that makes the most sense but…” He always second guessed himself, and when it came to Lynx, it was a little annoying.

“Okay, so what’s the problem exactly?”

“Well there’s the fact that I’m kinda with Sammi.”

“Right, the weird medic girl; you guys didn’t do anything though right?”

“Well no, but I know how she feels about me.”

“Jinxx, just go with Lynx, trust me you’ll be happy with her. She’s just as reckless as the rest of us.”

“I think that’s what drew me to her in the first place. I mean she’s officially part of the legion.”

“I think Andy is going to put her with me. You okay with that?”

“I don’t really get a say, but I’d trust her with any of you. I mean, Andy has Juliet who is an amazing shot and Jake has Ella, who handles the weapons. Plus you have your eye on Melody so you won’t go after her. And CC is CC, there’s no danger of her going to him.”

“You have a lot of faith in her.” I smiled even more before yelling up to Lynx. “Hey Kitten, we’re going too far left, head to the right more!” Lynx flipped us off before obeying and changing directions a bit.

“You have almost too much fun with the fact that she has absolutely no sense of direction.” Jinxx smiled a little and shook his head at me.

“Well yeah, I mean she’s my little sister, I have those rights.” Truth was, I fell hard for the adorable girl, but saw how she and Jinxx looked at each other and backed off. But Jinxx was right, not long after we got to know Lynx I met Melody and was convinced I was in love with her.

“Hey Lynx! It’s getting late, let’s call it a night and get to the town in the morning!” I looked around the area we were at and went over to a small rock formation that was a few yards from us.

“We can sleep there. Come on.” Lynx ran back to us and instantly went to Jinxx’s side. “It’s gonna be a tight fit. How do we want to do this?”

“I’ll sleep between you two.”

“Wow Jinxx, so much for trusting me not to do anything.” Lynx blushed and made her way into the small cave.

“It’s not that, it’s just warmer the farther in you are. She’s practically freezing. Whatever that asshole that put the sword did to her is draining her too fast.”

“What do you mean Jinxx? I thought you healed her?”

“For that I need more than just magic; which is why I want to get back home as soon as we can. Let’s just get some sleep, we need it especially after almost getting electrocuted.”

“I’m just glad you pushed me out of the way. The kitten would be very upset if she accidently killed one of us.”

“Yeah, yeah thank me later when I care Ash.” Jinxx punched my shoulder before going into the cave. “Well, we have one extremely fucked up family. But I wouldn’t want it any other way.”
