Land Of The Lost

I watched Ash and Jinxx barely dodge the electricity I shot at them. I felt like an idiot, the saying ‘act first, think later’ really needs to be destroyed. “Oh my god, are you guys okay!?” If I was able to, I would have run over to them but the sword that was lodged in my side prevented it. They got up slowly, and all but ran over to me.

“Lynx, you’re okay!” Ash knelt next to me and pulled me into a hug, seeming to forget about my previous injuries or the fact that I had a sword lodged in my side. As soon as he touched me I shocked him, knocking him on his ass.

“Please, before you decide to fucking hug me to show how ecstatic you are to see me, get this fucking sword out of me!” Jinxx inspected the wound for a few minutes.

“We can pull it out and I can heal it now, but you have to stay perfectly still.” I nodded and looked at Ash who looked like he wanted nothing to do with Jinxx’s idea.

“Just give me something to bite down on so I don’t make another injury of any kind.”

“I’ll try to keep you as still as possible, but please don’t electrocute either of us. I don’t exactly want to end up like that guy over there.” Ash nodded towards where Rohan was still twitching from the high voltage.

“I promise I won’t electrocute either of you. Just please, I can deal with the broken ribs, and arm and whatnot, but I cannot stand the amount of pain I’m in right now.” Ash moved so he was behind me, and used the bandana he had with him as a gag so I wouldn’t bite through my own lip. I nodded at Jinxx, telling him to pull the sword out. As grabbed the handle, he put his other hand next to the entrance of the wound to give him leverage. I gripped Ash’s arm and dug my nails into his skin as Jinxx started to slowly pull the sword out.

“Jinxx, just do it, she’s in too much pain to take it slowly.” Jinxx nodded and yanked the sword out, I screamed as he did so and passed out from the pain against Ash. I woke up hours later, laying down with my head on Jinxx’s lap, his hand running through my hair.

“I don’t think I’ve ever seen her like that. Not only do I now have four scars in my arm, but I think she nearly tried to kill us.”

“Ash you are a baby. The electricity that hit just a few feet from us was just a natural reaction to the amount of pain she was in. Trust me, when I was a kid I set my house on fire because my brother pushed me down the stairs breaking my arm in the process.”

“You never said you had a brother.” I spoke quietly and looked up at Jinxx who was clearly surprised that I was awake.

“That was a long time ago. I’m glad you’re awake by the way. You had us worried, it’s almost dusk you’ve been out for a few hours now.” Jinxx didn’t indicate that he wanted me to move so I made no attempt to.

“The idiot Mystic here used too much energy healing your sorry ass, you’d better be fucking grateful kitten.”

I laughed at Ash, “Sorry for making you take time out of your oh so busy schedule Mr. Deviant, I bet there’s a few girls who want their money back.” Both Jinxx and Ash laughed at that, making me smile even more.

“I’ve really missed you kid. Those two weeks have been hell without you, we’ve had absolutely nobody to put Ash in his place. His ego has gotten way too big for us to handle.”

“Jinxx you’re a fucking ass you know that?” I just continued smiling as they bickered. This was my family, the only thing that mattered.

“So, when are we going to head back to town? The others have to be worried…”

“Actually…Jinxx and I left before we were originally going to. Jinxx was just so worried that our beloved kitten needed us to save her that we went against what Andy wanted.”

“Aww, Jinxx I never knew you cared.” I laughed when I saw the light blush covering his cheeks.

“Oh just shut up Ash.” I moved to sit up and winced at the pain still in my side.

“I thought you said Jinxx healed me.”

“I tried, you needed a lot of healing. I almost passed out trying to heal all of it. Your ribs are just bruised now, and probably tomorrow I’ll finish healing them but there’s no way in hell I’m going to do it tonight.”

“Fine, meanie I’ll just suffer until you decide I’m worth healing again.” I pushed myself into a sitting position and turned a bit so I was facing both of the guys.

“I think we should start making our way back towards the town. We’re just over a day’s walk away. I have to wonder though, it’s been two weeks how are you only a day’s walk away from town?”

“I was headed one way, got myself turned around and ended up heading for the mountain. I wasn’t moving very fast so I don’t think it’s very surprising.”

“You had your leg broken too, that’s why you weren’t moving too fast.”

“Lovely…well that’s what you’re for Jinxx, to heal up the idiots who keep getting hurt.”

“Anyway, let’s go.” Ash stood up and helped me up as well. “I’ll carry you if you don’t want to walk.”

“Ash, I’m fully capable of walking…slowly but walking nonetheless.” He held his hands up in surrender.

“I tried, you can’t blame me for trying.” I shook my head and looked over at Jinxx who had just stood up.

“Come on, I don’t want to be out here in the freezing cold night again.” As Jinxx smirked and started following Ash, who had already started walking I stopped him and blushed lightly before kissing him again. This time slower and lighter than the last, “Thank you…for everything.”

Hah there's a little more fluff? I don't know what you'd call that. Affection maybe. I dunno. This might be one of the longest chapters so yay me! I did something right. haha. It legit took me maybe 20 minutes to write this chapter. I spent all morning sleeping, watching Onision videos, then watching the walking dead while having dinner, then spent another few hours watching Onision videos. I highly recommend it, he's fucking awesome.
