Andy is the Prophet. He is Phoenix's big brother and is very protective of her. He is 17 in this story, along with his best friend Ashley. He and Phoenix share the same birthday.
Ashley Purdy
Ashley is the Deviant. He is used to getting his way, but is surprised when his best friend's little sister wants nothing to do with him.
CC Mora
CC is the Destroyer. He is 17, and he falls in love with Phoenix, causing tension.
F.E.A.R.
They are tyrants and are willing to risk everything to either kill Phoenix or get her on their side because she is the only one who can stop them, backed by her army of rebels.
Jake Pitts
Jake is the Mourner. He is 17, and he is Phoenix's best friend. She feels like he is the only one who will listen to her because the others are always busy.
Jinxx Ferguson
Jinxx is the Mystic. He is 19, and he is the only person besides F.E.A.R. who knows what Phoenix can do. Not even Phoenix knows.
Phoenix Biersack
She is Andy's little sister. She is 15, and F.E.A.R. wants her dead because the mark poses a threat to them.
Sammi Doll
Sammi is Jinxx's wife and Phoenix's best friend other than Jake. Sammi is the only person that Phoenix has ever told about the scars, until Ashley finds out.
