Together We Will Be Unbroken

Dani's P.O.V.
I'm glad Steph offered to walk me home. After what happened today I wouldn't want to walk home alone anyway. I told Steph how I hit Monica in the face with a dodge ball and she started laughing hysterically and said, "She had it coming big time." Soon we were outside my house, Steph and I say good- bye. She was careful not to hug me too tight because I was already starting to feel sore. I said, "Text me later." She says, "I will." My mom's car was home and no doubt the school called and told her what happened. I can expect a parent/ daughter talk tonight.
I walked through the door and saw my mom sitting on the couch with a concerned look on her face. She said, "The school called and told me what happened." I reply, "Mom it's over and done with." Mom walks over to me and asks, "Can I see?" I nod and she lifts up my shirt to reveal the bruises beginning to form on my sides and stomach. She looks up at me with tears in her eyes and says, "Oh baby. I'm so sorry." I comfort her and say, "Mom it's not your fault. Don't blame yourself." Mom says, "You're dad is on his way home. We'll talk later." I nod and go upstairs. it was so nice to be greeted by my posters o my walls of BVB, SWS, BMTH, BOTDF, MIW, FIR, etc.

After what happened today I had an urge that I haven't had in a very long time. I go into the bathroom and since I threw out all my razors I find a pair of scissors and press one of the sharp ends to my skin, I was debating on whether to actually cut or not. When I was about to drag it across my wrist I asked myself, "Is this really worth it?" How would Steph feel about my relapse?" What about my parents? "Do I really want my saviors to see fresh cuts on my wrists?" It took all the strength I had in me but I put the scissors down.
*Coast is clear*
I go in my room and put on Perfect Weapon. I sat there letting Andy's voice calm me, and after the song was over I felt better.
A couple hours later I hear a knock on my door and dad asks, "Can we come in sweetie?" I say, "Sure." Mom then says, "Tell us what happened today honey." I tell them the whole story and when I was done dad asks, "Why didn't you tell us before baby or a teacher?" I reply, "I thought no one would believe me. They are the most popular and beautiful girls in the school. I'm a nobody." Mom then says, "That's not true sweetheart. You are special, unique, smart, and just as beautiful as those girls if not more." Dad comments, "She's right Dani. We are proud to have you as our daughter. Those girls are just insecure. When they do mess with you just think about what Andy Biersack says....... um what was it again?" I laugh and say, "Never give in never back down." He replies, "Exactly." I say, Thanks guys I feel better now." We all hug and go downstairs. Mom made my favorite homemade tacos. After we ate I helped with the dishes then went to the living room to watch a movie with my parents. Mom replies, "I think it's your turn to pick the movie tonight Dani." I put in my all time favorite movie Sweeny Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street.
The movie ended about 9:30 and I went upstairs to go to sleep. When I get I my room I change into my pjs which are batman boxers and a black tank top. Then I check my phone and see a message from Steph.
S: Hey girlie
D: Wuz up?
S: Nm. Doing hw listening to BVB.
D: Cool. Me mom and dad just watched a movie.
S:What movie?
D: Sweeny Todd
S: Sweet. You're lucky you get two days home.
D: I guess so. I'm going to sleep. Ttyl.
S: Night :)
D: Night :)
Not too long after that I fell asleep listening to Unbroken. I woke up to a loud crash of thunder, then turn over to look at the clock 3:45 A.M. Then I heard my phone vibrate and I saw a creepy txt message.
Unknown: Watch your back this summer. You're gonna pay that's a promise. My heart began to pound in my chest. I wondered how she got my number then I remembered my phone number was on face book. I didn't go back to sleep after that.
