Haunted...

Do the right thing, even if it means losing your daughter....

I let my arms drop back to my sides. I couldent just give up the struggle after one boy came to me and begged me to relase my daughter. No. No I wasnt going to give up. I walked back over to one of the tombs, and entered it. It was a spare one that had not been filled yet, and I liked to just sit in there in the darkness and think about stuff, clear my thoughts. I plonked myself down onto the floor, and let my head fall into my hands.

I could see how much that boy loved my daugter. I could see it clearly in his bright blue eyes, and I could also see the pain and the hurt in his eyes that she wasnt with him, but I knew that even if I let them go that they wuouldent be able to be together anyway, due to the fact that Alice was dead, and he was alive.

As I was sitting there, I heard the door open and close, causing me to look up. He was quite old, and had a pitying look on his face. "I know im probably being nosey, but I overheard you and that boy arguing." He said, sitting down beside me. "You know that boy you were talking to was my grandson." He said. I looked a him, shocked. "So your coming to defend him now?"

"No I'm here to help you. I know you think that its the right thing what your doing, but when you met your wife, what would you of done if your dad or her dad had said that you couldent see eachother?"
"I'd.....I'd still go and see her."
Yes but you wouldent like it would you?"
".......no......"
"Exactly. Thats how he's feeling right now, and I know it might not be the best of situations, but you need to make your daughter happy, even if it means her not being there beside you. Thats what i've learnt throughout my life, and that is what every farther learns eventually."
"But she means the world to me, and it's not possible because-"
"Because she's dead and he's not? Yes I know its not ideal, but he knew about her, she told him and he still loved her for her, doesent that stand for something?"

I sat there, thinking about what he had said. "Well what would you do if you were in my situation?"
"I would let her out, and either let them be together and damn the concequences, or do something out of that power that you use to scare people, and put it to some good use by making your daugter happy."
"Well what would you suggest I could do to make her happy?"
"I don't have any ideas for that, but I know that if you put your mind to it, then you will come up with something." He said.

I sighed and stood up. I knew what I had to do. It was something that I knew I had never wanted to do, and not everyone agrees to it, but if I wanted her to be happy, then I had to do what was right. I turned to the man, and smile at him. "Thank you. You have given me an idea." I said. He nodded, and I left the tomb.

I went over to the my grave, and dug around in the dirt. I soon came to a book of spells that my grandmoter had passed down to me. I flipped through the pages, and finally came to te page I was looking for. I sat there for most the night. studying the page, making sure I had the spell perfect.
