Angels and Saviors and Whatnot

Epilogue

Allison Catharine Biersack
Andrew Dennis Biersack
Sandra Kelsey Biersack

“Sandra Kelsey Biersack, get back here!”

It wasn’t easy, raising a toddler. Some days she didn’t want to wear her clothing. Other days, she only wanted the food off Mommy’s plate. She would whine and cry when Daddy wasn’t home from the studio at a certain time. Everything had to be perfect for her, and being a stay-at-home mom wasn’t fun unless my husband was there to help me raise the little heathen.

Today, my 3-year-old daughter was deciding to draw on herself with markers. Lucky for her, they were washable, but they were still markers, and markers on anything but coloring books was forbidden, and she knew that.

“No Mommy! I color! It’s pretty! I look like Daddy!” I heard her yell from inside her room. I marched upstairs to her room where I threw open the door and stepped inside. Her pink and white bed frame had marker all over it, along with her white walls and cream-colored desk. I found clothing with marker all over it and I announced myself by clearing my throat.

“Sandra Kelsey, you are in big trouble young lady,” I said in a stern voice. In the corner of my eye, I saw my daughter emerge from her closet, her chubby hands holding the markers she had been drawing with.

“I sowwy Mommy, I wanted to color,” she said. I smiled and stooped down to pick her up.

“You are forgiven. Thank you for saying that you were sorry. You know Mommy loves you, I just don’t want to get hurt. And drawing on the walls and your desk and your bed and yourself isn’t allowed, you know that,” I said, carrying her to the bathroom.

“When is Daddy coming home?” she asked, as she squirmed to be put down.

“I’m not sure sweetheart, it’s never the same time,” I said.

I set her down on the counter and searched for the baby wipes. I heard the front door open and close and Andy’s voice travelled through the house.

“Alli? Sandy? I’m home!”

“Daddy!” Sandy squealed, and she jumped off the counter and ran downstairs to greet her father. I followed slowly and listened as Andy marveled over her ‘beautiful artwork’.

“Oh baby, this is incredible! Why did you draw on yourself though?” He picked the toddler up, sat her on his hip and kissed her forehead.

“I look like you, Daddy!” she said, and I walked down the stairs of the house we had newly purchased and smiled.

“She says she wants to look like you babe, with all the tattoos and such. You should see what she did to the walls of her bedroom,” I said, planting a kiss on Andy’s cheek and letting him deal with his daughter. They walked upstairs as Daddy told his little girl all about his day at the studio.

The girl was the spitting image of Andrew Dennis Biersack. She had blonde hair, bright blue eyes, the stubborn personality her father had when he was a teenager, and so much more. At night, she would sing her father’s songs (especially Savior) until she fell asleep and she would tell Mommy and Daddy that one day, she wanted to be a big rock star like Daddy.

“Alli! Help me clean her up! She won’t stop squirming!” I heard Sandra giggling madly from the bathroom and soon, a naked 3-year-old girl was running through the house, laughing and squealing as Andy chased her with the baby wipes. I sat and watched for a while, laughing to myself and I leaned back on the back of the couch. Sandy came racing between myself and the stairs and I stuck an arm out and scooped her up like a little puppy.

“Gotchya,” I said, and I held her still while Andy caught up and started wiping her down. The marker came off with ease and I set her down to let her go put some clothing on. I looked to Andy’s tired face and smiled.

“Being 25 with a daughter sucks, doesn’t it?” I asked and he nodded, putting his head on my shoulder and hugging me tightly.

“I’ve missed you babe,” he said, his voice muffled by my blonde hair.

“How was the studio today?” I asked, wrapping my arms against his torso.

“Well, Jake and Jinxx are starting to put together some rocking guitar solos. Ashley is doing really well with the bass, his riffs sound really good, and CC is actually doing better with this album than any other album we’ve done. We should be done in about a month or so, at the rate we’re going. I can’t wait to take you on tour with me.” He picked his head up and smiled at my surprised face.

“You’re actually taking us on tour?” Every time I asked to tour with him and the band, he would always say that his manager said no because they didn’t have a big enough bus. When Black Veil Brides had a show here in Los Angeles, Sandy and I would go and Andy would drag us out on stage and show us off to the BVB Army.

“Jon said that we raised enough money to buy a newer, bigger bus. They’re even putting a bunk in for Sandy,” he said and I screamed and hugged him.

“Babe! That’s amazing! When does the tour start?”

“In two months. My babies are going on tour with me!” he said excitedly.

Sandy walked down the stairs and said “Hi Mommy! Hi Daddy!” She had he pants on her head and her shirt on her legs, along with underwear on her left arm.

“Andrew, help your daughter get dressed please,” I said, placing my hand on my forehead.

“She’s your daughter too, ya know,” Andy said, picking Sandy up and walking to her room.

“She’s my daughter after dark!” I yelled up the stairs and sat on the couch, exhausted with what my family has put me through. Tomorrow, we would visit Grandma Amy and Grandpa Chris for dinner and the day after, we would visit Uncle Ashley, Aunt Stephanie and their 4-year-old, Bryce for a play date.

I looked around and laughed at how far I had come since high school. I had gone to college, gotten my degree, I majored in Choral Studies, I gotten married to the most perfect man on earth, I had started a family, and now I was here. My husband was working hard every day to provide for us, and he was doing a damn good job.

“There we go, all better,” Andy said, walking down the stairs with Sandy’s little hand wrapped around three of his long fingers. This time, everything was put on the correct portion of her body and he smiled when he saw my staring at them.

“You look tired babe. Do you want to order out tonight? Chinese sound good?” Andy said as he placed Sandy in her play area and sat down on the couch with me.

“Chinese sounds great,” I said, and I relaxed a little bit, knowing that my past was exactly that, my past, and my wings were getting bigger with each year I got older. Andy’s were as well, and our daughter would be so fascinated with the when she was old enough to understand.

I looked around and I saw Sandy sitting in her area with her toys as she sang In The End to herself quietly. I nudged Andy’s ribs with my elbow and pointed in her direction. His eyes widened and he smiled brightly as our daughter sang and he whispered “She’s my daughter when she sings my songs.”

“She’s our daughter, Andrew. And she’s beautiful. Just like our small, little family.”

"I love you Mommy and Daddy," I heard Sandy say from across the room, and I smiled at her sweet little face.

"We love you too sweetheart."
