Angels and Saviors and Whatnot

"C, we need to go," I said as I looked at my blood spattered hands. I looked up at CC's brown eyes and he nodded slightly. We made our way to the staircase and burst through the cellar door.

There, standing ever so ominously, was the zombie version of my mother.

"Come here, Alli. I just want to see how grown you are." Her voice sounded raspy, and nothing like my sweet mother's voice used to sound like. She pulled out a knife, gripping the handle until her zombie fingers began to snap.

"Maybe I can take down some of that height for you," she said, lunging at me with the sharp blade aimed at my thighs.

CC jumped in front her, pushing me back against the cellar door. He grabbed her slimy wrist and screamed "SHE'S MINE! YOU STAY AWAY FROM HER, IT'S NOT HER TIME!"

He pushed her back, her yellow eyes wild as she fell to the ground.

"Alli, we're going, now." CC grabbed my wrist and yanked me towards the front of the house, hearing snarling and sqishing footsteps behind us. He threw open the front door and ran into the thick woods surrounding the house, still dragging me along behind him. I looked back and saw my zombie mom still trying catch up, holding the long knife beside her.

"Allison! Come back here! You're going to pay for what you've done!" Her voice definitely sounded like it needed a cough drop, and from how quiet it was, I could tell she was a while away.

"You're not my mom!" I screamed, still running with tears blurring my vision.
CC's hand moved from my wrist to my own hand, and he laced his fingers in between mine.

He slowed to a stop, and pulled my face upwards so I could look into his eyes.

"You're going to be okay. Understand? We don't have time to be weak. You can't be weak right now Alli Cat." He looked at my lips and bent down. His lips brushed against mine and the equivelent to an electric shock went down my body as soon as we made contact.

"CC, I-"

"Do not tell anybody I just did that," he said when he pulled back. "I've always liked you Alli, ever since I met you."

"But, CC, I-I have a boyfriend, his name is Andy, he just moved here a couple months ago, I-"

"I understand." He looked down, his cheeks flushing and he slowly walked through the woods. I walked after him, grabbing his arm, and he quickly pulled it back like I was poison.

"You could have told me."

"You were gone for years C..."

"Do not call me that Allison, my name is Christian."

"You have no right to be upset, Christian, you kissed me, I should be giving you a black eye right now."

He turned around, his eyes watering and he sighed. "You're right, I'm sorry."

"It's okay, now-" My head started to feel light and my vision was blurry. I sat down, everything spinning around me, and put my hands on either side of my head, trying to steady my vision. Andy was calling again.

"Andy?"

"Alli! Alli baby, I was so worried, where are you?" His deep voice comforted me, and I smiled.

"I'm in the woods somewhere, I have a long lost friend with me. Please come find me Andy..."

"I'm working on it Alli Cat, I have Ashley trying to track you down. Is everything okay? Are you hurt?"

"My zombie mom tried to murder me, and CC, the friend I was talking about, pushed her out of the way, and saved my life."

"I owe him, big time. When we're done here, tell him that I am in debt to him for saving my Alli."

"I will. I have to go Andy, please contact me as soon as possible."

"I will Alli Cat." He paused and added, "I love you."

"You do?"

"Yes, I do, now I need to go, my Angelic Powers are running out, I will get back to you ASAP, okay?"

"Okay...bye Andy, I love you too." And my vision was restored, and no loger spinning.

"First you diss me, now you fake having a boyfriend by pretending to have a mental conversation with him? How low are you?"

I looked up and saw CC crouched down to where I was sitting with a look of disgust plastered on his face.

"No, CC, it's hard to explain."


"Save it Allison, you can fend for yourself now."

He stood up, and walked away, leaving me in a pile of wet leaves and no hope of surviving.
