chapter six- rebuilding bridges
-Kai's POV-
The phone rang. Once twice, three times, four times, five, six, "Hello?" a voice, probably Jakes, answered.
"Hi, Jake?" I confirmed
"Ya, who is this?"
"My names Kai, I was wondering if you'd like to go get a coffee sometime?"
"Mmm, ya I don't know you. And right now there are a lot of crazy fans around."
"Would you like to see Andy." I cut to the chase, sick of talk.
"Andy- Andy's missing." Jake said, a slight catch in his voice.
"Point aside, would you like to see Andy."
"I- yes." he responded, sounding confused.
"Right, then meet me at Starbucks." I gave him directions to the nearest one and we agreed to meet on , today being Saturday.
"Alright." CC grinned, happy that part of the plan was working. "You guys know what to do?"
"Yes CC!" Jinxx said, sounding annoyed and amused.
Sunday couldn't come fast enough.
-Andy POV-
Friday, I was nervous to meet Jake. I missed him too, I think we all did. CC was more nervous than me, but I had to talk to him from the start.
"You sure this'll work?" Kai asked as we drove to the cafe.
"No, but it's th best plan we got, so we gotta try." I gave her a comforting smile. "Got the computer?" I checked.
"Ya, I just hope we can use it the second time."
As we pulled up I put my hand on hers. I looked out and saw Jake sitting at one of the outside tables. "Let's go." I said gently.
-Jake's POV-
They weren't coming. I knew it, she lied, and stood me up. I took a sip of my coffee and closed my eyes with a sigh. I heard two chairs pulled out, and opened my eyes, there, sitting right in front of me was Andy. Next to him sat a girl with short back hair and, cat ears?
"I know I'm wearing cat ears. Cats are wonderful and adorable. Now that we've covered that lets get down to business." She opened up a laptop and tapped a few keys.
"You guys there?" She asked the computer.
"Here!" CC?
"On line!" Jinxx? What was going on here?
The girl spun the computer round to show a Skype call was open. In one window was CC, with a mysterious, green haired boy on his lap, and in the other was a decidedly sulky looking Jinxx.
"Andy? What the fuck is this?" I asked, starting to feel angry.
"We need your help, Jake." Said Andy, a dark look in his eye.
"What with?"
"Ashley." Andy responded grimly. "Me and Kai are here to talk to you about this."
"Screw this!" I shouted starting to rise. "I'm going home." I felt a firm hand on my shoulder and looked up to see an angry looking Kai gazing down at me.
"You'll stay, and hear us out." There was something dangerous in her voice. I gulped and sat back down.
"All we're asking is for you to hear us out, when we're done, you can stay and help, or leave and carry on with your life." I nodded, still feeling slightly scared. "Kai, come sit down. You're scaring him." Kai left my side went to sit down next to Andy.
"Alright, what do you want to talk about?"
"First you and Jinxx apologize to each other for acting like five year olds." Jinxx sighed
"I- I'm sorry, Jake it was stupid and immature the way I behaved." I surprised myself by feeling tears in my eyes. I blinked rapidly to clear them.
"I'm sorry too Jinxx."
"I really miss having you as a friend."
"Yeah, me too," not my voice, I swear. "CC, I owe you an apology too, I was horrible to you, when all you were doing was looking for Andy. It was stupid"
"It was, but I forgive you. By the way if you're wondering who the sexy young man on my lap is, paws off cause he's mine." CC laughed and kissed the kid on the cheek. I glanced up and noticed Kai talking in Andy's ear. He nodded.
"You wanna see them for real?" He asked. I looked up surprised, I had assumed they were scattered round the world.
"I- yeah, they're here?"
"Come on," Kai said, rising from her seat.
