Your'e not alone anymore

Lukas' POV

After Daddy left my room I turned on my side and faced the wall. Soon I was asleep but I started to have a nightmare.

~NIGHTMARE~

I was walking through the halls of the orphanage. I heard laughing. I turned around and there they were. The kids that always made fun of me for being so close to Kathryn and liking her music. The tallest came up to me and pushed me down. "Hey little freak." He spat. "Leave me alone." I quivered. I was shaking real bad. "What if we don't want to?" Another kid said kicking my leg. "Please.. Just go away." I pleaded but they wouldn't. "Please just go away." The tallest mocked me. "Shut up you little shit. You're never getting out of here." After he said that they began beating me and kicking me. I screamed but no one came. They finally left me and Iayed there in pain.

~END OF NIGHTMARE~

I woke up tears streaming down my face. I jumped out of bed and ran into Kathryn's room and crawled into bed with her. She was asleep so I had to shake her. "Kathryn." I said my voice shaking. She opened her eyes and looked at me. "What's wrong Buddy?" She asked genuinely. "I had another nightmare." I began crying again. She sat up and hugged me pulling me under the warm covers. Then Daddy came in. "What's going on guys? Why's Lukas crying?" He walked over and sat on the bed with us. "I h-had a n-nightmare." I sobbed into Kathryn's shoulder and Daddy began to rub my back. "You wanna take about it?" He asked me. " I turned towards him and explained everything to him. "Did this actually happen?" He asked. "Yes." Kathryn said. hen Daddy grabbed me and hugged me tight. I felt safe in his Kathryn's arms. "I promise you son. That will never happen again. Now you guys go to sleep you know where I'll be ok?" He said. "Ok." Kathryn and I said at the same time. He kissed our heads and left the room. Once Daddy left Kathryn turned on our music and we fell asleep.
