Miles and miles away.

*Mike's point of view*


The guys and I went to hospital to go visit Des in the hospital. Ashley was already there sitting at her bed side with Little Charlie in his lap. Des looked so small in that hospital gown. I smiled and went in for a hug. She wrapped her thin arms around me. I think I let the hug go one for a few seconds longer than I should have. It was kinda awkward. I just didn't want to let go.
Vic gave her a big squeeze, "Baby-doll! I'm so sorry I wasn't there to protect you!"
Des giggled, "Vic! Vic! It's fine. I can defend myself you know. Now let go of me before you open my stitches! Juliet's cut was deeper than I thought and I'm still healing."
Vic immediately let go of her, "Sorry, sorry."
"You feeling okay? Where's Andy?" Tony asked.
"Getting me chimes and Charlie some Dairy Queen. They released him this morning." She replied.
The nurse brought in a babbling giggling Zooey. "Look who's all well." She said with a big smile.
"Zooey! My baby!" Des exclaimed holding out her arms with the happiest smile. The nurse put Zooey into her arms. She started crying. "Thank goodness you're okay. They wouldn't let me see you for three days. Did you miss mama?" Zooey let out a happy squeal and gripped Des's finger.
I wiped the tears from her cheeks and kissed the top of her head, "Thank god she's okay. Thank god you're okay."
"Aw. Are you the husband and father?" The nurse asked. "I'm new here, it's my first day and I've been hearing this story about this super cute couple here."
I couldn't help but blush a little. I shook my head, "Oh no no no. I'm just a friend. Her husband should be back soon."
"Oh. Well you two would make an adorable couple." The nurse said with a smile then left.
Vic and Tony were laughing their asses off.
"Mike and Des!?" Tony howled, "That would never happen! I'm dead!"
Vic slapped my back laughing so hard there was almost tears In his eyes, "Only in your dreams brother!"
"Oh lighten up. They would make a cute couple..." Jaime said then busted out in laughter. Bending over forward holding his stomach, "I'm sorry! I couldn't say that with a straight face."
"Oh stop being assholes." Des scolded, "There was a time when I had a huge crush on Mike but he was with that one bitch. The blonde girl. But I was like twelve so it wouldn't happen."
I couldn't help but be happy at the fact that she used to like me. What the hell is wrong with me today. Do I like Des? No I can't like her. That's insane. It's not true. ALALALALALALALA shut up brain you don't like her.
You do like her.
LALALALALALA I CANT HEAR YOU BITCH!
Accept it. You like her and you know you can't have her.
SHUT THE FUCK UP.
I'll be quiet for now but you know I'm right.
I just argued with my brain. I'm mental. fuck my life.


*Andy's point of view*


I got back to hospital and saw Zooey awake and babblingand squealing like usual. I put the food down and picked up Des like a bride and spun her around. Her and Zooey squealed and smiled. I gave Des a big kiss then set her down on her bed and picked up Zooey. "You're awake my little cutie. Daddy missed you. Did you miss daddy?" I gave her an Eskimo kiss then set her back down with Des. Then I turned to Charlie. "Daddy's gonna get'cha!" Charlie screamed and ran off Ashley's lap. I caught her and tossed her on a free bed and started tickling her. She laughed and screamed for me to stop. After another good ten seconds I stopped and put her on my back.
"Daddy! I almost peed!" Charlie whined giving my hair a small tug.
I laughed, "Daddy's sorry. Daddy bought you ice cream so it makes up for it." I set her down and gave her the blizzard.
I leaned for another kiss from Des.
"Can I have my food now?"
I smiled and nodded. I have her the food and she gave me the baby. I sat down and played with Zooey. Thank god she's okay. Thank god my family's okay.
Lauren walked in with gift bags, "I have presents for my babies. And Andy. I wouldn't forget about you. But you and Des don't open them till you're both alone."
She handed bags to me, Des, And Charlie. She got toys for Charlie and Zooey. They both played with them on the floor. This is a very nice scene. But I wonder what she got me and Des.
Lauren leaned in and whispered in my ear, "They're for fun when you and Des are alone.."
Okay now I can't wait for when they release Des. There's gonna be some fun time.
