Smoke and Mirrors

One week later

Andy's POV

Today was the day of the party. Everyone was here, BOTDF, SWS, IWABO, FIR, SS, PTV and a bunch of other people. Nichole was the only one who hasn't shown up yet. I took the box out of my pocket and looked at it. Nothing special, just a plain silver band, but it would do. After everything today, I was going to propose to Ashley. I didn't want to lose him again. Suddenly, I heard footsteps coming up behind me so I quickly shoved it in my pocket again.
"Can I see it?" I sighed and turned to Jinxx.
"I thought you were Ashley." Jinxx shook his head.
"You guys aren't allowed near each other, remember? Now let me see it. I know its a ring." I chuckled and shook my head.
"You always could read me, Jinxx." I pulled it out and showed him. "Its just a silver band. I figured he wouldn't want anything more." He nodded and handed it back to me. I put it back in my pocket when the doorbell rang. I went to answer it and there she was. I growled at her.
"Oh calm down Andy. I win you lose wa wa."
'I'm mad about that, sure, but really, I'm more mad at you hurting my friend." She laughed.
"Oh please. I just used him to get to Ashley. Not like he really loved me."
"Oh, but he did. And now hes hurting." Suddenly, I felt someones presence next to me. I looked at saw CC, pain evident on his face. He looked like he was going to cry again. Oh please don't let it be like that first night.
*Flashback*
I jumped up when I heard a crash. Why was I passed out on the couch? I looked around and saw everyone and it all came back to me. But...where was CC? I ran upstairs and found him. He was collapsed in a pile of glass and some blood crying his heart out. It took me a while to realize the glass was from the window I guess he broke. I ran over to him and knelt down, pulling him into a hug. He fought me for a little while but then slumped down, giving up. I dragged him to his feet and into the bathroom where I bandaged his cuts. None were too deep from him punching the window, thank God.
"Why?"
"Why what C?"
"Why why why why why why why?" he just kept mumbling 'Why' and it seemed he didn't even know I was there. I brought him into a random room and laid him on the bed then started singing. He slowly seemed to come back to reality and started crying again. "I...give...up...Andy...why...why...did...she...hurt...me? Why...can't...I...just...die?"
"Shh. CC, you can't die because we need you. Really, we all do. Who gives a fuck about her, huh? She's a bitch, and really, you deserve better." he continued crying and rocking back and forth while I just patted his back until he fell asleep, tears still falling down his face.
*End of flashback*
"Why Nichole? Why did you use me like that? I thought you really loved me." I tear slipped out of his eye and he quickly wiped it away. He had promised us he wouldn't cry over her anymore. She laughed at him, and I balled up my fist in one hand and gripped the door tighter with the other.
"You were the only way to Ashley. Now, if you excuse me, I'm going to see my Ashy." I gripped the door tighter and heard a small cracking noise. I pulled my hand away and saw a small crack in the door. Great. Just fucking great. She pushed past CC and I and I turned to him.
"You ok man?" He took a deep breath to collect himself.
"Yeah. Yeah I'm good." I looked over and saw Ashley saying something to Nichole and motioning to CC and I. She flashed something, said something back, and he slumped down, defeated. I wanted to go over and comfort him, but it would ruin the plan. True to their word, as soon as I gave the motion that she did in fact have the video, the girls went in and started feeding her drinks. I saw Juliet reach over and grab something from Nichole, and gave the signal she had it. she stood up and walked over to me.
"Got it," she breathed. "Now what?"
"We got to get rid of it but keep it so she knows what we did." I took it from her and looked at it. Just a camcorder. "Spilling something on it then smashing it should work." She nodded and took it back walking back to the girls. I watched as she spilled and drink on it then tapped Nichole on the shoulder. When Nichole turned around she slammed it on the ground and smashed it by jumping and stomping on it. Nichole made an 'O' with her mouth then slumped. I ran over and swung Ashley around. "Holy shit it worked!" He laughed. Nichole screeched. I looked at her and saw her pale face quickly turning red.
"This isn't over! If I can't have him nobody can!" She turned and walked into the crowd, pushing people away. We all high fived then I pulled Ashley away to the balcony.
"What, Andy?" I didn't realize someone had followed us up.
"Ashley Abrocket Purdy, I don't ever want to lose you like that again." I pulled out the box and got on one knee, taking his hand. "It hurt so much to have you taken away like that. Let's make sure that never happens again. I love you, so will you marry me?" I felt the tears in my eyes and saw them in Ashley's as well.
"Yes. Yes Andy I will." I slipped the ring on his finger when we heard a shout.
"No!" There was a flash of blue and purple and suddenly, Ashley was over the railing of the balcony, hanging on with one hand. I looked over and saw Nichole smiling evilly holding a gun towards me. "Don't move or I will shoot."
"Andy!" I looked back at Ashley who was desperately trying to pull himself back up. "I'm falling!"
