Let me set your world on fire

"CC." I muttered as I nudge the sleeping body, hoping that he would just open his eyes. "Come on baby, open those goddam eyes."
"Fuck off." He groaned, his voice still filled with sleep.
"Fine, I'll just go and get cookies on my own." I smirked as I stepped away from the bed.
"I'm up!" Yelled CC as his feet hit the floor, his eyes red. "We're not getting cookies are we?" He asked, narrowing his eyes at me.
"No baby, at least, not from a store. I'm gonna take you to see my parents, and if I know my mom, she'll have cookies." I laughed.
"You want me to meet your parents?" He asked, completely in disbelief. I nodded and threw a pair of pants at him.
"Get ready, we leave in thirty." I chuckled before leaving the room.

I stood outside the front door, waiting for my mom to open it, CC's hand shaking as he grabbed mine. "Do they know about us?" He asked, his voice shaking.
"They know I'm bringing the guy I love round for lunch. So yeah, I guess they know about us." I replied just as my mother opened the door, beaming from ear to ear.
"Jake!" She laughed as she pulled me into an embrace before pulling CC in afterwards. "You must be Christian. I've heard so much about you. Come in, come in." She ushered us into the kitchen, closing the door behind us. "Come, I've just put on a fresh pot of coffee, your dad will be home soon and I'm pretty sure the cookies will be finished in a couple of minutes."
"Cookies?" CC asked, the nerves vanishing.
"Yes dear, Jake here told me they are your favorite." CC jumped up and down slightly, his hands clasped together with excitement. We all took a seat around the table, mugs of steaming coffee in our hands as we discussed the tour, my dad walking in disrupting the route the conversation down. "Hello honey." My mom said as she climbed to her feet and embraced my father, pressing a kiss to his cheek. "This is Christian, Jake's boyfriend." My dad stuck his hand out, my heart bursting as I thought of the announcement that we were just about to make.
"Actually, mom, dad, he's not my boyfriend." I said, a look of pure horror on their faces. "He's my fiance." I wrapped my arms around his waist, a small smile crossing CC's face as my mom and dad realised what I had said."
"You're engaged?" My dad asked, coming over and asking for my hand. "Yup, Carolyn, there's a ring there alright. Come see." My mom crowded us, grabbing my hand so she could see the ring before jumping up and down with joy.
"My little boy is all grown up!" She laughed before moving off the get the cookies out of the oven.

~Time lapse~

"Thanks for lunch Mr and Mrs Pitts, it was so nice of you to have me." CC said as he patted his stomach.
"Nonsense son, it's Mark and Carolyn, none of this Mr and Mrs stuff if you will." My dad said as we climbed to our feet, my dad dragging me off to the side as CC and my mom said goodbye. "He's a keeper son. If you get anymore crap from that Ella girl, just give me a call and then I'll sort her out for you both."
"Thank you dad." I replied before embracing him, smiling softly over his shoulder to CC.

~Time lapse (On stage in middle of a show)~

I strummed the final chords of Carolyn before Andy called out for a break because he needed a drink. I smiled and walked over to him, grabbing a spare bottle of water on the way. "Here we go dude." I said as I passed it over.
"Thanks." He replied twisting off the cap to take a drink.
"Look, during the break, I need to talk to the fans, d'you mind?" I asked, a little nervous that I was going to do this.
"Sure, just don't take too long." He replied, as small smile spreading across his face as he walked over to Ash and Jinxx, letting them know what was happening.
"Hi guys." I spoke as I walked to the mic. "You all know who I am, and for those that don't, I'm Jake. I don't normally do this sort of thing, but I need to clear things up a little. People have been right in assuming that me and Ella split, and yeah, you guys are all right, it wasn't on the best of terms but that doesn't give you guys the right to bitch about her because all of that comes back on me and my new partner. You guys out there in this audience may all think I'm straight, but the truth is, I'm not. I'm 100% in love with that guy over there." I said as I pointed back to CC, his gasp ringing out over the silent hall. "Now, this isn't any normal relationship we have. Things have been rocky, they have been tough and nothing can stop that but today, chuppy here asked me to marry him and I said yes. You all wanna know why? Because I love him with all my heart. CC, come here baby." I muttered as I turned to face him, Andy taking control of the microphone.
"Can we congratulate the happy couple?" His voice rang out over the crowd, claps and wolf whistles following shortly after.
"I love you CC." I muttered as I wrapped my arms around him.
"I love you too." He replied as we pressed our lips together, the catcalls getting quieter as we disappeared into our own little world.
