I look over at Jake and groan. He is winning, again. I need a chance to win so I decide to make a bet.
"Hey Jake if you win this game then you have to give me all your cookies."
"Um sure dude" Jake says renewing his efforts. I know he would never give away his cookies so he would lose. I turn back to the screen and laugh he dropped far enough behind so that I could cross the finish line.
"I WIN!" I shout, jumping to my feet. Jake laughs and takes a bite of the fresh baked cookies Ella made him. I saw a little of the chocolate on the side of his mouth and had the urge to lick it off. I shake my head to get rid of the thought and check the time.
"Hey dude we got to get to the studio" I say getting my jacket. I'm a little disappointed because I want to spend time with Jake but I also know it's good not too because I was developing feelings for him. I can't do that, he's my best friend, band mate and he has Ella.
Jake got up and shut the game off and grabs his jacket. I walk out of the house while Jake says bye to Ella. We both get in our own cars and driveoff to the studio. I jam out to Set The World On Fire.
When I finally get there I went inside and look for Jinxx. I see him skyping Sammi. I sigh and plop down on the couch. I rest my face in my hands.
"Hey man everything okay?" A very fimilar deep voice asks.
"Ya just tired" I lie.
"CC I know your lieing. Just tell me what's wrong and maybe I can help" Andy says in a soft voice.
"Okay later. I can't tell you now" I state as Jake walks in.
---5 hours later---
I stretch and Andy walks over and tells me to go straight to his house. I nod and go to grab my jacket when someone grabs the back of my shirt.
"CC is everything okay? You seemed a little off today" Jake says still holding my shirt.
"I'm fine. Can you please let go of my shirt? I have to go to Andy's" I state with no emotion. Jake hesitantly lets go.
"I'm here for you CC. For whatever it is that bothers you. You can always talk to me" Jake says sounding a little hurt.
"I know that Jake. And that means a lot. I'm just going over Andy's to hang out. But thanks Jake" I smile at him and he hugs me. I hug back almost immediately.
"Alright but if you need me just call" Jake says as he lets go.
"Same for you" I say as I grab my jacket and walk out to my car. I got in and drive to Andy's.
When I get there, I walk in and see Andy already has pizza. I walk into the living room to find him sitting on the couch.
"Hey man" Andy says as he pats the spot next to him.
"Hey" I smile as I walk over and sit down.
"Now tell me what's bothering you" Andy says as he hands me two slices of pizza.
"It's just........ Im developing feeling for someone and I know I shouldn't but I can't help it" I say sadly and take a bite of my pizza.
"Who is it?" Andy asks suspiciously.
"Jake...." I say quietly and look down.
"Why is that a bad thing?" Andy asks pulling my face up.
"Because he has Ella and he's my best friend and band mate" I say looking into Andy's big blue orbs.
"Well your better then Ella. Your caring funny smart and a great guy. And if Jake doesn't see it that way then it's his loss" Andy says smiling. I smile back and grab my pizza. I just finished my last bite as my phone rings. I grab it and see it's Jake.
"Hey dude" I say as I wipe my face.
"CC....." I hear Jake whimper.
"Jake what's wrong?" I ask getting worried.
"Ella left me" I hear Jake say and he bursts into tears.
"Hold on I'll be right there" I say as I hang up the phone.
"Thanks for talking to me about this Andy but I have to go. Ella left Jake. I'll call you later and tell you how he's doing" I say as I stand up and grab my jacket. He nods and I race out the door to my car. I quickly race to Jakes house. I park my car and run inside. I run into his living room and see he's curled up into a ball.
"Jake....." I say and take a step forward. He notices me and runs to me. I hug him tightly. We all too quickly break apart and make our way to the couch.
"I came home and Ella had her bags packed. She said that this wasn't working anymore. I tried to talk to her but she took her things and left. I called and texted but she won't answer" Jake says sniffling. I pull him into a hug.
"Jake it's her loss. Your an amazing guy. Your smart caring fun nice and you always put others before yourself. And if Ella can't see what an amazing guy you are then she misses out. Anyone would be lucky to have you" I say as I look deep into his eyes and speak as honestly and from the heart as I can. He smiled a little bit.
"Thanks CC your the best. You can have all the cookies you want" he says laughing. I race into the kitchen and grab them and go back into the living room.
"So now will you tell me what was bothing you earlier?" Jake asks as he dries his eyes.
I take a deep breathe and slowly walk to him. I put the cookies on the table and reach for his hands.
"I like you Jake. As more than a friend" I say as I lean forward and press my lips to his softly
