Chapter 13
Eve's POV
Skip to Lunch
I was sitting outside for lunch eating my hot pockets Dad packed me when a boy came up and took it from me. "I knew it was you Evie." The boy said. But it wasn't just a normal boy. I knew that voice.. I looked up to see I was correct. The boy that took my hot pocket was my bestfriend from my childhood Jason. "JAY-JAY!!" I screamed jumping up, tackling him. "Hey Evie." He said hugging me tighly. "I missed you so much." I said tears welling in my eyes. "I missed you too." He replied releasing me. I looked at him and could feel the tears going down my face now. "Dont cry baby girl." He said wiping my tears away. I couldn't stop though. "You wanna skip the rest of school?" He asked. I nodded my head yes and began following him. We went behind the school and you could see a large hill with a weeping willow tree at the top. We climbed to the top of the hill and into the tree. "So how've you been Eve?" He asked eating the rest of the hot pocket he stole. "Umm.." I wan't sure if I should tell him or not. I decided to go ahead and tell him. "I got put into an orphanage and after 2 years of being there i was adopted 1 month ago.." I said. "Oh.. I'm sorry Lovebug." He said hugging me. "It's ok Jay-Jay." I replied. "So why did you end up there?" He asked. I sighed and told him the story. He looked so sad when I was done. "Hey remember when we used to dance as kids?" I asked trying to change the subject. "Yes!" He replied. He jumped out the tree and held out his hand. I just down and took it and we began to dance. Not soon after though we heard the sound of the last bell of the day. "Wanna come to my place?" I asked. Earlier I noticed he was wearing a BVB shirt. "Sure. I get to meet the people who adopted my little sister." He replied. We walked to the front of the building. "My uncle is picking me up today." I said. He nodded then I spotted Uncle Vic's truck. "Come on!" I yelled grabbing his wrist and running over. We climbed into his truck and I kissed my uncle on the cheek. "Who's the kid love?" He asked. He turned around and looked at Jay. "Unlce Vic this is Jay we've been best friend since birth." I replied. "Your Uncle is Vic from Pierce The Vail?!" Jay yelled. "Well.. Kinda he's not technically my uncle." I said. "Hi Jay." Vic said to Jay. "Hi." Jay replied. Vic started the truck and we began the drive home. When we got there we all stood outside. "Ok before we go in you need to know a few things." I said looking at Jay seriously. "What is it?" He asked. "This may get loud and crazy as fuck so beware." I said. "Ok." He replied. We went inside and suddenly I heard CC scream. "EVE'S HOME!" I pulled Jay down and when CC ran in he tripped over us. We stood up and I looked down. "Is he ok?" Jay asked. "Uh.. I don't know. Anyways let's go meet the rest of the family." I replied. We left CC in a groaning heap and walked into the living room. I ran over and jumped into Dad's lap and put my muddy feet onto Uncle Ashley. "Um.. Your feet are dirty and ruining my pants." He said. "Too bad so sad. Take me for rides more often and this wouldn't happen." I replied. "Eve who's the kid who looks like he's gonna shit his pants?" Uncle Jake asked. "Oh. Guys this is my best friend Jay. We've been best friends since birth. "I said. He waved hi and sat on the floor. "Jay you know who these guys are." I said. He nodded his head. "Anyways Jay and I are going upstairs to go look at some stuff." I said getting up and going over to him. I pulled him to his feet and we went upstairs to my room. When we got in I pulled out all the boxes I had in my closet of pictures and my mom's old camera. I dumped them out and we began to go through them.
