I never expected this...
Well, my life is perfect...NOT
"Good idea mom. See you there. Love you!" My turn to hang up on her. I shut my phone off, and rushed to try to catch up to them. We caught them in time, and entered the signing with them. I whispered to Ashley. "My parents want to meet you. They are coming to the signing. I can hide in the back if you want." Andy, who was standing next to us, and getting the story from Laura, turned to me.
"You guys can stay up front. Might as well make it public huh? Fan girls aren't going to be to happy to hear we have girlfriends, but oh well." I saw he had already grabbed Laura's hand. Ashley suddenly grabbed mine, and squeezed. I squeezed back, and then we were at the onslaught of fans. Let me tell you, I have no idea how they handle it. I have stage fright like nobody's business so when we were asked who we were, I froze.
"We just happen to be their girlfriends. I'm with Andy and she is with Ashley." Leave it to Laura to save the day.
"Yeah. We kinda figured that. But what are your NAMES?"
"God really? I'm Laura." Laura poked me. I hid behind Ashley. To many people staring at me. I'm going to throw up. "You will have to excuse her. She has problems with to many people at one time. Her name is Amarie."
"Stage fright? And she is dating Ashley? Can you spell wow?"
"Leave her alone." Ashley, my knight in shining armor. The girls shut up, got their stuff signed, and walked away. Word spread quickly about us, so it didn't take mom long to find us.
"Amarie!"
"Hey, mom." She pulled me away. My mom looks a lot like me, but she was blessed with the black hair I want. My dad has the brown hair that I have.
"Which one is he?"
"Remember my face marks? The one with the similar ones. Big circles around his eyes."
"He is pretty hot. How did you meet him?"
"You know how Laura scored backstage passes? Those passes also included meeting the band. Well..."
"You fell head over heels?"
"Yeah."
"I was the same with your father." She smiled, remembering those times. "He couldn't come today. He was held up at work."
"That's OK. Do you mind waiting in the back? I have to go back out there."
"Yup. Have fun!" I walked back out into the storm.
"Amarie, right? Can you sign this for me?" A girl, probably about fifteen, was smiling at me. She looked so much like me when I was that age. "I want to get the signature of Ashley's girlfriend next to his."
"S-sure." I signed my name next to Ashley's and it felt...familiar. When I handed it back to her, she beamed.
"Thank you!"
"Yup."
"You know," Ashley whispered, "she was so disappointed when you went with your mom. She waited out here the whole time. And your signature looks practiced. Have you done this before?"
"Wanna hear my story?" He nodded. "Wait until we are back at the bus and then I will tell you."
He continued to sign autographs, and I did some to, whenever they asked. It really shocked me when they did I saw Laura also had girls asking for hers as well. I went over to talk to her.
"Just like the old days huh?"
"Yup. Just doing this makes me miss them." She smiled sadly.
When everything was said and done, my mom approached us.
"Hello. I'm Amarie's mom. It's very nice to meet you." I smacked my forehead.
"Mom. That's Jake."
"Oh. Well then YOU must be Ashley."
"Yes. Nice to meet you." This went on for a little while, until mom had to leave. Thank god. We all headed to the interview, and when it was over we headed to the bus. Ashley took me back to his room.
"Now. Whats you story?"
