Smoke and Mirrors

I am helpless as this 'River' guy yells at Kayleigh to go with him. As she stands he turns his back to me. I take my opportunity and jump on his back knocking him flat on his stomach. The gun goes off and I hear a cry. I look up to see the bullet had grazed Sammi's arm. She is pissed. Shit. She stands shakily before walking over to us. She kicks the gun out of River's hand and slamming her heel down on his hand.
"You son-of-a-bitch. First, you crash an epic birthday party, then you try to abduct the birthday boy's guardian and her children, then you shoot one of her friends. That is way past the line." She yells and kicks him in the face. It takes two police officers, Jinxx, and myself to pull her off. By then River is unrecognizable and the police officers have to drag his bloody body up the stairs and out the door. I hate that tucking douche
