Today we were finding out the sex of the baby! I was so excited I got up at five thirty to get ready. I get dressed in the outfit Ashley had bought me after our family outing. (Maternity outfit) After I'm dressed I get Ashley up and in the shower. As soon as he's dressed I drag him out the door.
"Calm down." He puts his hand on my leg. Relief floods through me at his touch.
"Ms. Rowe and guest?" The nurse asks and we follow her the a room. She preps me and spreads the yucky goo on my lower abdomen.
"Umm.. Ms. Rowe?" She turns to me confused. I nod confused as well.
"I'm picking up a second heartbeat. And there's the visual. Yes, Ms. Rowe you're having twins." The words leave her mouth and I freeze.
"The sexes are..... both female. You're having identical twin girls." I look up to see Ash. I expect to see anger or even disappointment but what I see is pure joy. Ashley was happy!
The nurse wipes the goo off and we head off to shop for their room.
