A Melodic Sound
Confessing Love.
"Melody. Sweetie? You got to get up." I heard someone whispering into my ear. I peeked open my eyes to see Andy standing there fully dressed, and ready for the day. "Ok. Ok I'm coming." I said grunting as I stood up, and stretched. Andy picked me up and carried me down the stairs.
He sat me down on the couch. "What's all this about?" I asked looking up at Andy. It was just us two in the room. "Why?" He asked quietly. "Why what?" I asked slightly confused. "You know what I mean Mel. Why did you try to kill yourself?" He said slightly louder. That hit me hard, like a punch in the gut. He sounded so angry. Andy has never gotten mad at me before.
"I..I didn't want to be without you. I couldn't do it Andy. You're the only person who has treated me like you do. At first I thought it was just because you felt sorry for me. But now I can see it's not. I can see in your eyes how much you love me and care for me. When I'm in pain I know you are to. But most of all you're the only one who has ever loved me like you do…I just don't think I could live without you." I said with tears in my eyes.
"Oh baby." Andy said sitting down. "I was so worried for you. I couldn't see or feel but I could hear. Not all the time, and not everything. But I could hear sometimes. I remember hearing how sad the guys were. But when I heard your voice..you just sounded so..so broken. I was so scared you would try something. So I tried harder than I had been to push back to you. But then I heard you yelling, and Ashley crying and yelling your name. So I pushed through it all. I knew I had to get back to you. Then I saw you. How small and broken you were laying on that floor, in Ashley's arms. I-I just don't know what I'd do without you either Melody. I love you so much." Andy said pulling me into a hug.
My face was against Andy's warm chest. "I love you too Andy." I said snuggling into him more. "I promise you Melody, ever since I met you. My love for you grows everyday." He said kissing the top of my head.
We spent the rest of the day snuggling on the couch. He got up and put in batman, our favorite movie. He grabbed a blanket and laid down next to me on the couch. About a hour into the movie, I turned away from the TV screen and into Andy's bare chest. "You're so hot." I said tracing his tattoos. "I know." He said laughing. "I meant the other way." I said giggling.
I yawned. "Oohh someone is tired." Andy said pulling me into him. I looked up into his eyes. "You wanna go upstairs?" He asked. "No. I wanna stay right here." I said smiling. Andy leaned down and kissed my lips softly. "Be here when you wake angel. I love you." Andy said to me pulling the blanket over are shoulders. "I love you too." I said snuggling into him. The truth is.. I really did. More than anyone would ever know.
