"Come in" Jinxx smiled as he opened the door for you gestured you to come in.
"Take a seat on the floor, I'll go get the violin, want something to drink, honey?"
"Yeah, I'd like-"
"You know the way to the kitchen!" he joked from upstairs.
"Yeah, thanks" you replied sarcastically and huffed. You heard a faint laugh from upstairs coming down the stairs.
You and Jinxx have been friends since he joined the band and you've wanted to learn how to play the violin since you were a kid. Jinxx offered to help you.
"Ready?" Jinxx said holding a beautiful, deep red coloured wooden violin up in the air, standing in the door frame of the door to the living room.
"Yup" you popped the p at the end and sipped the last of the Coke you poured yourself a few moments ago.
He sat down on the floor in the living room and waited for you as he played a few random chords, maybe from a new song.
You plopped down across him on the floor, with a bottle of Monster by your side.
"For me?" Jinxx pointed at the bottle and raised his eyebrows. You nodded and murmured "Mhmm" to him and he downed it in a matter of seconds as you were focused on trying to figure out the chord he played just a moment before.
He laughed when he saw you with your tongue out, struggling to replicate the chord with your fingers in the air, without the instrument.
He leaned towards you and put the violin in place safely under your chin. He then took your fingers and placed them in the position to play D-minor.
"Your fingers are really flexible, it might be weird for you to play, they bend in weird fucking ways" his eyebrows furrowed and you chuckled.
"I know, I've been told that before"
"Really?"
"Yeah." you said and remained mysterious as to why your fingers were the way they were.
"Okay, try it now." he told you and you tried a few times, but it wasn't working out the way it should.
You whined and looked at him with puppy eyes, begging for his help.
"Wanna try again?"
"Yeah. Please."
"Okay."
He gave you some advice on how to move the bow over the strings and you tried again, it was a bit better but you decided the torture was over and suggested to put it aside for now.
"Truth or dare" you asked mischievously at Jinxx.
"Truth, I wouldn't dare choose dare!" he exclaimed and laughed along with you.
"Do I suck at playing the violin?" you asked and stuck your tongue out at him.
He blushed and replied "Totally. Sorry dear, not everyone was born to play the violin"
"Nah, it's okay" you waved your hand in a motion that says "Eh".
"Truth or dare, my lady?"
"Dare" you said making tiger claws with your fingers, mimicking one.
"Ooo, I have the perfect one! I dare you to play my piano!"
"Sure thing, sounds fun!"
"Great, follow me!" he extended his arm to you as he stood up for you to take and lead you to the music room upstairs.
It was a huge room with what seemed countless guitars hanging on the walls, a few violins on a stand in the corner and what you fell in love with at first sight, a giant black, grand piano in the middle of the room.
Your eyes widened at the sight but luckily, Jinxx didn't notice it as he was busy preparing the other violin he had, the one he used in concerts.
"Here, this is Overture off Wretched And Divine."
He started playing and didn't notice that you were already sitting down at the piano, admiring the pure beauty of the polished, black wood. You slowly crieked the cover open and unveiled the ebony and ivory keys underneath.
When he was finished, he glanced at you in confusion and said "Do you play the piano?" as he saw your perfect posture and hand placement over it.
"A bit. When I was a kid, my dad and I used to play a little on his piano."
"Oh, really? What can you play?"
"I love this one!" you said happily and began the countdown.
Note by note, Jinxx' eyes grew wider and mouth opened more. He recognized the piece as Bolero by Ravel.
He took a seat beside you and played alongside with you since it was a piece for four hands.
He set his phone on the sheet holder and pressed play a while ago, but you haven't noticed.
Bolero was near the end when he took his hands off the piano and let you finish it on your own.
"Was it good?" you said after your fingers broke contact with the keys and you looked up at a smiling Jinxx.
"It was amazing. Look at the comments"
He gave you his phone and you read aloud
"It was so beautiful, what was that?*__*"
"[Y/N] plays the piano? :O"
"I wish I could play with jinxx "
"That slut took my place -.-"
In response to the last one was "But you have to agree that she did awesome!"
" (y) "
"There's a comment from Andy" you chimed.
"[Y/N], darling, would you like to record a song with us? We need two people playing the piano at the same time"
Jinxx and you both laughed and you looked over to Jinxx.
"Looks like you need second pair of hands"
"I guess so. Wanna help me out?"
"Most definitely!" you said and hugged him.
"Let’s call Andy and let him know we have a new band member" he pulled in a side hug sitting down on the chair in front of the piano and dialled Andy.
You and Jinxx played the piano for him and when he said yes, Jinxx hung up and continued working on the songs with you until broad daylight.
