CC's POV:
It hurts to hurt you.
My eyelids crept open to reveal a faint light shining through the drapes. I groaned softly. Monday morning; another day of sitting through never-ending classes and zoning out teachers.
Another day of hurting him...
I couldn't keep the thought from slipping through my mind, a faint whisper brushing my skull. I had to stop thinking like that. He would just be my downfall; if I even gave him a chance I'd be beaten more than he, himself.
Just forget.

Andy's POV:
Another glance at the clock told me only five minutes had passed since I'd last checked. It was, by then, obvious that, like every other night, I'd be sleepless. "Might as well get ready," I mumbled to myself.
My legs shook slightly as I arose from my bed. Honestly I didn't even know why I was so weak anymore; the lack of sleep, the lack of eating, the blood loss, the daily beatings... It could be any, or all, of them. I pulled on a pair of tight skinny jeans, wincing as they brushed the cuts and bruises on my thighs, and fondled with the black and white studded belt that lay unhooked around my waist.
A thin Motley Crue shirt was next to slip over my body. I didn't even bother trying to wear thick clothes anymore; the beatings never hurt less.
"Now I just have to make my face look less sleep deprived..."

CC's POV:
I couldn't get the thought out of my head even as I ran a flatiron through my long black hair. How awful must I have made him feel everyday? How did it feel to get tormented and beaten so much? I hated knowing that I was the reason that he always walked through the school halls with his face hidden behind books, as though we wouldn't see him.
School is going to be hell, today.
