ANDY'S POV
I was really tired but, to humor Kaitlyn, I went to talk to Ashley in the back lounge. I brought Jinxx with me incase Ash needed "fatherly advice".
"Are you okay, man?"
"I'm done," Ashley said throwing his arms in the air.
"What?"
"I love the Purdy Girls, I really do. But..." he trailed off.
"But?"
"But I want what you and Jinxx have."
"Huh?"
"I want a girlfriend..."
Jinxx and I looked at each other in shock. Ashley was giving up on sleeping with groupies. He was ready for a girlfriend. Was he ready for a girlfriend?
"Dude," Jinxx chimed in, "are you sure you're ready for that?"
"I don't know. I've wanted to do this since that night in Atlanta."
"When that chick left?"
"Yeah. I wasn't...saitisfied so, I went to sleep. I had a dream of waking up next to a beautiful blonde. We went for a walk and held hands and had fun. Then, I woke up. When I looked next to me, I saw the bed was empty. I sat there for a while feeling depressed."
"Why?" I asked as Jinxx and I sat down on either side of Ashley.
"Andy, you and the guys get to wake up with your girls in your arms or your beds all the time. I wake up alone."
"Oh..." Jinxx and I said in unison, getting the message.
"The worst part is, I don't know how to handle a girlfriend anymore."
"Andy," Jinxx said, "can I talk to you real quick?"
"Yeah," I followed Jinxx to the front of the bus.
"Okay," Jinxx whispered, "I have an idea. Have Ashley hang around you and Kaitlyn for a while. He can see how you treat her and how she treats you. It'll give him ideas and examples of how to handle a girlfriend."
"Sounds fine to me," I whispered, walking back to my bunk. "Go tell Ashley the plan. I need to get to bed."
I waited outside of my bunk as Jinxx talked to Ashley. He gave me a thumbs up and I smiled, returning the gesture. I crawled back into my bunk with Kaitlyn.
"Everything okay?" she asked laying her head on my chest.
"Yeah," I said wrapping an arm around her. "So what'd you do while I was gone?"
"I hope you don't mind," she began, "I went on your twitter. I didn't tweet but I did look at the tweets about our photos. One of them was from Danny, he wants to meet me."
"Really? No, I don't mind if you go through my twitter, as long as you don't tweet pretending to be me."
"Yeah. Oh please, I could never pull off pretending to be you."
"Great! Well, I'll introduce you guys tomorrow after their set."
"Ugh..." she trailed off.
"What is it?" I asked concerned.
"Well...I-ugh...I'm nervous," she stuttered. She was so cute when she got nervous.
"What?" I laughed.
"What if Danny doesn't like me?"
"He'll like you, I know he will."
"Okay," she yawned.
"Go to sleep black bird. I'll be here to wake you up."
"Good night, Andy," she yawned again. "I love you."
"Good night, baby. I love you more."
She cuddled close to me and I listened to her breathing even, indicating she was asleep. I placed my lips on her head and snapped a picture. Fourtuantely, the flash didn't wake her. I sent the picture to Danny and told him Kaitlyn's story. His reply was too funny: "If that little wanker lays a single finger on that innocent girl, I'm going to beat him up!" I laughed and replied with "Okay". I locked my phone and slid it under my pillow. Kissing Kaitlyn's head one more time, I soon drifted of into a good night's rest.
