When Darkness Is All You See

The Dress, The Bride, and The Black Veil

-----KAITLYN'S POV-----

I put on my wedding dress like the note Andy left me had said. Where was Andy? I hadn't seen him all day today or yesterday. Focusing my attention back to my dress I stared at it in awe. It had a sweet heart neck line and a beaded bodice. The skirt was silk and was styled like a ball gown, "poofy". The entire thing was pure white and had a black belt around my waist.

I then focused on my makeup. I applied light grey eyeshadow then black eyeliner, on my water lines. I put on some black mascara, making my lashes long, and some clear lip gloss. I then curled my hair. I gave myself some loose curls and sprayed some glitter in it. Hearing a knock on the door, I got up and opened it, seeing Jinxx all dressed up in a suit and tie. Under his suit jacket, he wore a white button up. He stood in the door way smiling at me.
Jinxx took my hand and lead me to a garden filled with roses. They were fake, because it was winter, but still beautiful. I'm glad we were taking my wedding pictures in the snow because I didn't want my white dress to get ruined. The snow was almost as white as my dress which made me wonder how this was going to work. Wouldn't the dress blend in with the snow?

As Jinxx continued to walk me to the garden I noticed Ashley by the gates of the garden. He had his hair straightened and teased up a bit, he also wore no makeup. Ash was dressed in his black dress pants, a black button up, a purple tie, his black suit jacket, and his black boots.

By Ashley's side was Meaghan. She had on her strapless, floor length, purple dress. Her hair consisted of loose curls, like mine. Meaghan's make up was light. Her eye lids cascaded with lavender eyeshadow and thin black eyeliner. In her hands, she held two bouquets. The one in her left hand had six purple roses. The one in her right had a dozen roses, half were black and half were purple.

"Jinxx," I said facing him, "what's going on?"
"I'm here to walk you down the aisle," he smiled.
"What?"
"This is your wedding day. Andy planned it with a bit of help from Meaghan and I."

"Here you go," said Meaghan as she handed me my bouquet. "something borrowed."
"Something blue," Ash said placing a necklace with a saphire diamond around my neck.
"And something new," Jinxx said placing my veil on my head.

He tossed it over my face and I saw that it was black. A black veil, and I'm the bride. Black Veil Brides. Oh yeah, Andy deffinately planned that. I smiled at my friends and music began to play. Ash hooked his arm into Meaghan's and smiled as they walked down the aisle. I waited until Jinxx squeezed my arm, letting me know it was our turn. I walked into the garden and there he was.

"Andy," I whispered.

Andy wore black dress shoes, black dress pants, a purple button up, a skinny black tie, and a black suit jacket. He didn't wear any makeup. He had his hair straightened and teased, kind of like Ahley's but I thought it looked better on Andy. God, he was so handsome! I was so focused on Andy that I didn't even noticed the Black Veil Brides groomsmen on his side or their girlfriends, as my bridesmaids, on my side.

There was a big arch over Andy's head. It was purple with black lace wrapped around it. There was a preacher dressed in purple and black, to match the colors. In his hands there was paper, instead of a bible. Behind Andy and the preacher was a frozen creek aligned with purple roses. I focused my attention on Andy who was smiling from ear to ear as I got closer.

"Hi beautiful," Andy said, smiling as he took my hand from Jinxx.
"Hi handsome," I smiled back and gave my bouquet to Meaghan.
"Nice veil."
"Thanks, it's in honor of my saviors."
"Nice compliment," he smiled as we faced the preacher.

The preacher began to read from the paper. He was smiling as he read and spoke of the love Andy and I shared. When it was time for our vows Andy and I turned to face each other. The preacher handed Andy a sheet but he waved it away.

"Kaitlyn," Andy began, "the first time I saw you, I knew you needed me in your life. You needed a friend who would protect you. As time went on, I grew out of the friend zone and became your boyfriend. You have given me all that I could ask for. Every time I think of you, I see perfection. Your beautiful blonde hair, your gorgeous smile, your cute giggle, and those perfect radiant eyes. I want to thank you for agreeing to marry me. I promise to love you, honor you, and cherish every waking moment with you. I love you."

By now I was crying. He was so perfect and I was nothing. But, he still loved me. Why did he love me? Why was he marrying me? It was time to read my vows so I slapped on a fake smile.

"Andy," I began, "I never knew what love was. My whole life, all I knew was hate and fear. When I met you, you taught me love and happiness. You opened up a whole new world for me. You are more than my husband, you are my savior. Thank you for giving me life. I love you."

Andy pulled me in for a hug then took the rings from Ashley. He handed me one and waited to repeat after the preacher.

"With this ring, I thee wed," Andy smiled as he placed the ring on my finger.
"With this ring, I thee wed" I repeated his motion.
"You may now kiss your bride," said the preacher.

Andy smiled and threw my veil over my head. His eyes sparkled as he cupped each side of my face with his hands. He took a step closer and placed his lips on mine. In that moment I had forgotten all of my fears, all of my insecurities, all of my negativities. I threw my arms around Andy's neck and kissed him back. He picked me up, whilst keeping our lips locked, and spun us around. I felt him smile as he placed me back on the ground.

We broke the kiss and I was staring into the most gorgeous pair of blue eyes I had ever seen. They were so blue, almost saphire. Andy's lips parted into a gorgeous smile.
The music began playing and I took my bouquet back from Meaghan, who was now crying. We walked down the aisle, followed by the groomsmen and birdesmaids. Andy's fingers laced into mine, holding my hand. We walked out of the garden and were met by two photographers, male and female.

"Okay everyone," said the female, "we're going to do a few group photos first. Then a couple of the bride with her bridesmaids, and a couple with the groom and his groomsmen. Then, it's bride and groom photos."
"I'll take the girls," said the man once we finished the group photos, "come on ladies. I'll return you to your men as soon as possible."

He led us to what looked like a courtyard. There was a giant fountain, spewing water, in the middle. The area had red, pink, and purple fake roses everywhere. Sammi must have done this.

We stood in various poses as the photographer snapped many photos. I stood in the middle, being the bride. Sammi and Meaghan on either side of me. Lauren, CC's girlfriend, and Ella, Jake's fiance, on either side of them. When we were done, we rejoined the guys. I took Andy's hand and everyone, except for the photographers, piled into the limo.

Andy leaned in and kissed me softly. I heard the photographers snap a photo and I smiled. Andy led me to a willow tree. It was dieing but it was still beautiful. He leaned against it and took my hand, looking deep into my eyes. I looked back into his and heard another picture was taken. As Andy continued to be romantic with me, I realized the photographers weren't telling us how to pose. The poses just happened automatically.

I turned and leaned my back into Andy. Feeling his arms wrap around my waist, I turned to face him. Our lips were inches apart. I tilted my head up and kissed him with passion. I felt him smile into the kiss as the photographers took their last picture of us and went to join the group.

"I think we should get going," Andy whispered as he pulled away.
"Why can't we just stay here? I don't want this to end," I said frowning.
"Hey," Andy smiled as he cupped my chin, "it's not going to end. We have forever together now. All the time in the world. So let's go have our first dance, cut our cake, have your father daughter dance, and get it all out of the way. Then we have every waking moment together."

I smiled and took his hand, walking to the limo. We climbed in and sat next to our friends. Ashley popped open a bottle of champagne and everyone cheered/laughed as some of the drink spewed out of the top. Andy poured me a little bit, since I was still under age, and poured himself some. We all drank it and smiled at each other.

We arrived at a tall, white building. There was a sign in front that said Biersack Wedding on top floor. Andy took my hand and the guys, accompanied by their girlfriends, led us to the elevator. We reached the top floor and let everyone leave before Andy and I. We reached black double doors and heard somebody say something into a microphone.

"So," said the voice, "allow me to introduce the groomsmen and brides maids. Best man, Ashley Purdy, and maid of honor, Meaghan Wright." Ashley and Meaghan walked in and people were cheering. "Groomsman, Jake, and bridesmaid, Ella. Groomsman, CC, and bridesmaid, Lauren. And finally, the couple of the hour. I give you Mr. and Mrs. Biersack!"

Andy and I walked in and I was shocked. All of our friends and Andy's family were here. I saw Danny, Ben, Bryan, everyone. I even saw Andy's parents. Everyone who cared for him, but...where was my family? Who cared for me? I had nobody.

"Alright," Bryan said into the mic, "now the couple would like to share their first dance as husband and wife."

Andy smiled and led me to the purple dance floor. He held me close to him as a song began to play. Savior. I'm guessing that became our song. Andy placed both hands on the small of my back as I layed my head on his shoulder. We swayed from side to side and I began crying.

"What's wrong Black Bird?" Andy whispered in my ear.
"You have all of these people here for you. All the people who love and care about you. Who do I have? Nobody."
"Baby, that's not true. Here, when we stop dancing I want you to follow me to the balcony."

The song ended and everyone went to grab food. I followed Andy to the balcony and sat down on the bench with him. He held my hands between his and wiped my tears away.

"Look inside," he said pointing to the window. I did and he asked, "What do you see?"
"Your family and friends?"
"Wrong. Our family and our friends. Those people inside aren't just here for me. They're here for you too. Kaitlyn, you've got to see that when you married me, everything that was mine became yours too. Including my heart."
"Andy, what about my father daughter dance? I don't have a father."

Andy didn't reply. He smiled and walked me back inside. We sat at the table and ate our meal. When we finished, I felt somebody tap my shoulder. I turned to see Jinxx holding out a hand for me. I took it and he led me to the dance floor. Music began to play and I recognized it as Nickleback Never Guna Be Alone. Jinxx held me protectively, like a father would, and danced with me. I then realized why Andy smiled.

Jinxx truely was like a father. He cared for my safety, watched out for me, and gave me advice. He was my only father figure and I was proud of that. The dance ended and I gave Jinxx a hug.

"Thank you, Jinxx," I mumbled into his shirt.
"No problem, kid," he said, petting my hair. "Now, go and cut that wedding cake Sammi and I worked so hard on."
"Hehe, okay."

I joined Andy by the cake and picked up a knife. The cake was white with pearls around it. I looked at the decal on top and saw the Batman symbol. I looked to Andy who just smiled and shrugged. He placed his hand on mine and we cut the cake. The inside was vanilla with strawberry filling. I took my piece and shoved it into Andy's mout, leaving frosting on his lips. He smiled and kissed me, the frosting leaving his lips and staying on mine. He shoved the caked into my mouth and I licked the frosting off. This was the happiest day of my life.
Suddenly I heard a man scream. Andy and I turned to face the direction of the scream and saw Matt Good. Andy ran to him and gave him a bro hug.

"How did you get here?" Andy laughed. "I thought you couldn't afford a ticket!"
"I couldn't but," Matt admitted, "but Ashley and Meaghan could."
"That's sweet of you guys," Andy said look at them.
"So do I get to meet her?"
"Yeah, come here. Matt, this is Kaitlyn, my wife. Kaitlyn, I think you know who my best friend is. I mean after all, you are a fan."

"Hi Matt," I blushed.
"Hi," he laughed, hugging me. "It's great to meet a fan. Even greater to meet one who married my best friend."
"I'll bet," I giggled.

"Matt, I deserves piggy back ride!" Andy pouted.
"Alright," Matt sighed crouching, "hop on your feather light girraffe."
"Yeah!" Andy screamed when he got on Matt's back.

Matt carried him around on his back, talking to their friends. They were so cute when they acted like children. As the night came to an end, Andy put his suit jacket on me. It was supposed to be super cold tonight. Andy and I went down stairs to be joined by a limo and a driver. Andy held the door open for me and I got in, Andy followed. The driver pulled into our hotel. Andy and I walked to the receptionist's desk and he was handed a new key. Did he get us a new room?
