We (Alex and I) sit out in the alley and smoke. We are just finishing our cigarettes when a scream shatters the air. A scream I know as Lexi. Alex and I exchange a look before using our vampire speed. We find Blade passed out on the ground and Lexi fighting for her life against a Huntress. Shit!
"Stop, what do you want?" Alex shouts.
The Huntress freezes.
"One of you. I will have what I want or I will kill those special to you." She is insanely beautiful with ceremonial Celtic tattoos around her face. Her eyes were the red of a Hunter, her skin pale as a ghost, her lips black.
"Me, I'll do it. I may love Blade but she is not my mate. You are." Alex says stepping forward and touching her arm. The tattoos finally finish in Celtic knots.
"You're the one." She cradles his face and Lexi moves into my arms. The new couple disappears as Blade regains consciousness.
"Where's Alexander? He didn't..." She trails off and tears gather in her eyes.
"I will have my revenge." She glares and speeds off into the night. Lexi and I return to the bus to find Alex and the Huntress.
"Andy, can we stay with you?" Alex asks with fear evident in his eyes.
