Chapter 1: Assuming God
So, we're not just a band.
We're a family.
We go by Assuming God.
I'm Robin, the lead vocalist. I tend to think I'm a quiet person off stage, a silent thinker. But don't underestimate me, because I'm far from shy. I've been through a lot to get to where I am. We all have. Before we progress, I'd like to tell you about my little family.
I'll start with Leo, our lead guitarist. He's the hard ass of the group. This boy has the most terrifying gaze you will ever encounter. He's the last person you want to piss off. I mean it. He's also a man of very little words, like myself. He's the silent but deadly type. I actually think he's never talked to a fan before, only given them the look of death. Hah. Which is why I can't understand why they love him so much. He's sometimes painted as a sex symbol in magazines. *sigh* I really will never understand it. But more than anything, he is a brother to me. I've been with Leo since the age of 8. We were both foster kids. We know things about each other that we would never dare speak of. And Leo, has seen a much darker world than I. He doesn't open up to anyone outside of the band. But underneath all the scars there is a heart more beautiful then any I've ever known.
Next I'd like to tell you about Dizzy. She's our rhythm guitarist, and a wild child. She's the little sister of our group, so looking out for her is our daily job. In some ways Dizzy can be compared to a ray of light on a dark day, but in some ways she can also be compared to satan knocking on your door when you have a hangover. Even though she can get obnoxious, In a strange way I think she keeps us all in loop. Without her craziness in our days I don't think we'd ever feel right.
Speaking of crazy I'd like to tell you about Vincent now. Vince is our bassist, and the primary reason we get kicked out of places. He's a crazy motherfucker. He is THAT guy. He's the jackass of the group. I mean it, he's been on the show at least 20 times. Like Dizzy, he's also the little brother, we always have to look after him.
Last but not least there is Chaz. He's our drummer, and the sweetheart of the group. He is our rock. Our motivational speaker. He always knows what to say and when to say it. He's wise beyond words. Every single one of us can say that Chaz has told us something that changed our lives. He really does see the best in everyone. I'd oughta let the akwardz out and go ahead and tell you that we've slept together before. But I'll get to that later. Soo yeah, this is us. This is we. We, are Assuming God.

"If I told you I was the slight bit interested in doing this. I lied." Leo said, thumping his fingers against the table.
"Don't be like that. We need this. Black Veil Brides is practically challenging us with the shit they pulled. If we back out, they win." I replied.
"We can't pussy out." Vince interjected.
"Then it's set! We're doing it!" Dizzy said twirling around the bus with a bottle of booze.
"What the fuck, put it away Diz it's too early." Chaz said as he chased her attempting to grab the bottle out of her hands. I sighed and looked down to the article.

It's no secret that the two bands are a hot topic for discussion right now. With three consecutive singles blazing the top charts for the past month EACH, you could say the bands have some competition going on. The female fronted band took the internet by storm over night with their single "Forget Me Not", gathering over 10 million views on youtube in it's first week. It currently stands at number 1 over Black Veil Brides' hot new release "In The End". Let's hear what BVB frontman Andy Biersack has to say about it: "We were a little shocked when Assuming God exploded onto the scene, I have to say they are giving us a run for our money! You can never get too comfortable these days *He laughs*. If you stop working hard there will always be another band that are willing to work 10x as hard. This is a great reminder of that. This year we've decided to compete in the Battle of The Bands again, hence we released our album early so we had time to prepare. Theres a lot of talk about AG participating but you never know with the internet. Personally, we hope to see them there."
Will Assuming God not participate in the Battle of The Bands despite the high demand for their entry? No comments have been made on their part as of yet.
As if that wasn't enough when we woke up this morning a Battle of The Bands flier had been stapled to our tour bus signed by all the members of Black Veil Brides. A little invitation they sent us. I rolled my eyes and tossed the flier in the trash. Our company is practically forcing us to make a statement soon since we've been turning down interviews left and right. The public doesn't really know anything about us since we've kept quiet during this entire leap to fame.
"Alright guys. Before the boss flips we need to make an announcement now. I'm going to tweet something so speak now or forever hold your peace." I held up my phone gesturing for any brighter ideas. "No? Okay." I sighed, ignoring the glare of death Leo was throwing at me.
"It's not like we're going on tour so I don't really see the problem in joining. It'll be good for us." Chaz said, gazing at the ceiling in wonder. I nodded and proceeded to publish the tweet on my phone.
"Assuming God @AssumingGod
We will indeed be participating in the 2013 Battle of The Bands. Looking forward to a great year! Keep Rocking x"
Everyone opened their phones to favorite and retweet etc. on their personal accounts. The usual routine.
"Now can we drink?" Dizzy blurted. Vince threw his hands in the air in approval. I grinned and popped out a couple beers.
"Why the hell not."

I obviously don't know what's going on in your life right now. You could have family problems that none of us know about. You could be struggling with depression, self-harm, an eating disorder, or so many other things. Since I have know idea if there is something affecting you at the moment, I don't want to sound selfish by demanding an update. However, I would encourage you to continue this story if you ever have time to write. So many people love this story, as evidenced by the number of subscribers that you have. When I see that this story and other well-written stories have updated, I get really excited and happy no matter what type of day I've had up to that point. You make other people happy with your writing, so please update as soon as you can. We will all be patiently waiting for your return.
