Fifty Shades of What?
Katie's POV: When I wake up, Ashley and I take a long hot shower together, then get ready and head out to the studio on his bike. When we get there though, a smirk appers on Ashley's face, and I know he's up to no good.
He passes me a little video camera, after turning it on, then says, "I want to see how John reacts to being caught on camera."
"Oh, dear Lord," I groan through a laugh, but follow him in and down the hall to John's office.
As we arrive, I hear John sing out, "The untouchables in the night!"
"In the night," Ashley says through a chuckle, then John swings the door open, looks at me, and his eyes widen.
He quickly moves behind the door, acting like he's scared, as he says, "I was just caught on film," effectivly making all of us laugh, and he peeks around the door, coninuing to act scared.
As John calls out, "Oh, God!" Ashley points to the door, looking at me and says, "He's hiding. He's scared."
"Oh my God! There's a camera!" John calls out from behind the door again, then I hear Andy say something like, "Did that camera catch you catching me-kissing me on the neck yesterday, because that was weird," as he walks out of the room.
Ashley looks back at me and says, "This producer's crazy. They're crazy."
I turn the camera off, then and pass it to Ashley as I call out to Andy, "No! I didn't catch John kissing you on the neck yesterday!"
"Didn't think so, when I realized who's sorry ass it was filming!" he calls back to me from the kitchen.
"Hey! This sorry ass at least got laid this morning!" I call back, as I walk into the studio to a shocked looking CC, Juliet, Jinxx, and John. Ashley was smirking at me, and I couldn't see Jake anywhere.
"Andrew! You say anything, and you're dead!" Juliet calls out to Andy, playfully laughing.
As Andy returns, he says, "Come on, babe. I was just going to tell her about that awesome tongue trick you do."
"There's a tongue trick? Do tell," I say, leaning forward.
"You're too young for that," she says, pointing at me.
I have to fight back my giggles as I say, "I know I'm young, but that don't mean shit when you have a pervert from hell as your boyfriend."
"Hey!" Ashley calls out to me, "If I were a real pervert, I would do this, for you wearing that shirt," he says, pouring a small glass of water down my white shirt.
I laugh, then say, "Honey, I wore a black bra with a thin white t-shirt, and nothing under. Do you really think I care about the guys or anyone else for that matter, seeing my bra through my shirt?"
"Now, someone needs to get the camera out," CC says, with a wicked smirk, "Because this looks like the beginning of the action sequence of a Purdy Porn."
Ashley spits out the water he had just taken into his mouth, choking on it, then says, "Dude! Cool it! Damn! That is my girlfriend you're talking about."
Ash then sits on one of the office chairs, picking up a guitar, while John and some woman keep replying this one second audio section, that I can't quite make out. I know it's Andy's voice, but Ashley nods towards the camera, and I turn it on. I pan in on him a bit, as he plays a blues riff, then turn it off a short time later.
"Today hopefully it won't be as boring as the last time, since you don't have homework piled sky high on your ass," Andy says, nudging me as he, CC, Jinxx, and I relax on the couch.
"I'm fat," CC blerts out all of a sudden, "Andy, scoot down!"
"If I do, I'll be sitting on Katie," Andy argues.
"Then let's do this," CC says, coming over to me, picking me up, and telling Andy to move. Andy reluctantly moves, then CC sits down, and sets me on his, Andy, and Jinxx's lap.
"CC!" I say, sounding annoyed, "I'm fat, so stop it!"
I quickly get off them, then sit on the ground, where Andy arches an eyebrow at me, and says, "Bitch, you're smaller than me. How are you fat?!"
I look up at him, then shrug and say, "Don't know, but I am."
"That isn't going to fly with me, Katie," he says, suddenly grabbing me up, making me squeal, and setting me on his lap.
I roll my eyes, then pull myself off him, and walk over to Ashley. He smirks at me, and says, "They giving you a hard time, baby?"
"Yes," I pout, pretending to be upset.
"You're a good actress. For a moment there I though you were serious," Jinxx says, with a chuckle. I roll my eyes at him, then Ashley sets the guitar down, and opens his arms to me.
I smile, then slip onto his lap, and lean against him.
"What? He can hold you on his lap, but your brothers can't?" Andy calls out, looking sad.
"There's a difference," I say, making them all laugh.
A few moments more of this, John instructs Andy into the sound room, and Ashley moves us over to the sound board, while I watch John mess with it for a moment, then points to Andy.
Andy listens through his headphones for a moment then sings a song I know to be Devil's Choir. Another song he got stuck on, and I helped him write.
After it's done with, they continue to work on stuff, and I pull my new Kindle out of my bag, to read for a bit. Red gave me her paperback of Fifty Shades of Grey, which rest peacefully in my bag, but there's no way in hell I'm taking that out of my bag in front of these guys.
A few hours later though, the book has been long forgotten by me, and I asked Ashley to grab my charger out of my bag. When he reaches in for my charger though, he produces the book, and he holds it up with a smirk as my eyes widen in horror.
Damn it. Why did Red have to give me that book? I may not have read it yet, but I do kind of know what it's all about.
"What the fuck?" CC shouts as he exits the booth, and sees the book.
"My thoughts exactly," Ashley says, still smirking at me, "Don't they call this porn for women?"
"Red gave it to me, even though I don't have any intrest in reading it," I tell him, "Now, put that book back, and give me my goddamn charger."
He smirks at me, giving me a little wink, then flips to a random page in the book and begins reading.
"'I am very well rested, thank you. I just came to say hi before I had a shower.' I gaze up at him, drinking him in. He leans down and gently kisses me, and I can't help myself. I throw my arms around his neck and my fingers twist in his still-damp hair. Pushing my body flush against his, I kiss him back. I want him. My attack takes him by surprise, but after a beat, he responds, a low groan in his throat. His hands slip into my hair and down my back to cup my naked behind, his tongue exploring my mouth. He pulls back, his eyes hooded," Ashley reads, then passes the book to Andy.
"'Well, sleep seems to agree with you,' he murmurs. 'I suggest you go and have your shower, or shall I lay you across my desk now?'" He reads in a deep tone, then passes it to Juliet.
"'I choose the desk,' I whisper recklessly as desire sweeps like adrenaline through my system, waking everything in it's path. He stares bewildered down at me for a millisecond. 'You've really got a taste for this, haven't you, Miss. Steele? You're becoming insatiable,' he murmurs. 'I've only got a taste for you,' I whisper," she reads, then passes it to Jinxx, who smirks and takes the book.
"His eyes widen and darken while his hands knead my naked-" he begins reading, but I'm able to snatch the book from his hold, and as soon as it's in my hands, I stand up, grabbing my Kindle and bag, then walk outside.
I walk over to the pool area, then hide in the bushes, on top of one of the huge decorative stones that bring the landscape together.
Ashley's POV: I watch Katie grab the book from Jinxx, then her Kindle and bag, and bolt out of the studio. Shit. Maybe I went too far...No, forget the maybe part. I did go too far, and now Katie's pissed off at me.
I look around the room at my sobered up band mates, Juliet, and John, and then I look down, and walk out after Katie.
I look all around for her, but can't find her. I then call her multiple times with no answer, and when I realize she might have actually left the area, I quickly grab my phone and call Andy.
"You find her?" he asked.
"No. I'm going to see if she is walking home. You help me on your bike, and have the guys stay here and look for her. Call me if you find her or have them call if they find her," I tell him.
"No problem, man," he says, then I hang up and hop on my bike, speeding out of the driveway like a bat out of hell, and when I look back Andy's speeding down the other side of the road in the opposite direction.
Katie's POV: I remain in my spot for a long time, ignoring all of the guys and Juliet's calls and text, as well as them calling out my name. I know I'm probably over-reacting, but that really sucked. It hurt that Ashley would tease me like that, over a book I never intend to read anyway.
I'm covered well by the plants around me, and thankfully can rest my back against the side of the studio.
A few minutes later, I see Ashley and Andy's bikes pull back into the drive, followed by Jayy and Dahvie's SUV. I feel my eye twitch slightly at the sight of the four of them running up to Juliet, Jinxx, CC, and John, and asking if they had any luck.
I hear Juliet say, "No. Nothing."
"Have you checked the bushes?" Jayy asked her.
"What?" she asked in astonishment.
"The bushes around here. If Katie's anything like I used to be, she would find shelter in the bushes," Jayy says, walking around, checking the bushes and trees in the area. I silently look around for an escape, but I'm too late.
Dahvie pulls back the bushes I'm hiding in, and calls out, "Found her!"
"You did!?" Ashley calls out, rushing over to me, but when he tries to pull me into his arms, I push him away.
"Katie, I'm sorry. I didn't know it would upset you that much," Ashley says.
"You should have respected me more than that, Ashley! I would never do that to you!" I growl at him, then push past him, and walk to Jayy and Dahvie's SUV and get in the back.
I sense Ashley following me, and I lock the doors, then roll down the window long enough to throw the promise ring at him, then I roll it back up and lay down on the backseat. I sigh, then hear Jayy and Dahvie get into the car with me.
Ashley's POV: I watch Katie walk away from me to the SUV, then lock herself in. When I finally comprehend what happened, I follow her to the car, where she rolls the window down, and throws the promise ring I gave her at me.
I pick it up off the ground, and can tell Dahvie and Jayy are talking to me, but what they're saying...Well, I could care less. I just stare at the ring, and when they begin to drive off, I feel myself begin to lose it.
I chase after the car, trying to call out to Katie, but get no response from her, as Dahvie rolls down his window. He shakes his head at me softly and sadly, then says, "We'll talk to her," as they drive off.
I fall to my knees as I watch their car fade away, and the only person I've ever felt so strongly about drive off with them.
"Come on, man," Andy says, helping CC and Jinxx pull me out of the street, and back into the studio.
I sit on the sofa just starring at nothing in particular for the remainder of the day, then when we're ready to go home, CC says he'll drive me, and they help me into his car. I remain silent as CC helps me into my house, feeds Killer and Toyko, and helps me onto the sofa.
I know I have to move or talk at some point, so I sigh, then say, "Thanks, man," then head up to my bedroom.
As I reach the door though, I can't go in. I know all of Katie's things will be in there, so I head down the hall to the guest room, and crawl into bed there.
