Ashley's POV: The second time Katie comes down the stairs...Well, let's just say, I'm thankful I didn't wear skinny jeans today, because they'd do little to hide where my blood is collecting right now.
I check myself quickly before walking over to her, and asking, "Now are you ready? Because you certainly look it."
She smirks up at me, and I hope she didn't notice my breathing catch in my throat from how sexy she looks and her action, as she says, "Yes, I'm ready."
"Good," I say, then we say goodbye to Dahvie and Jayy, who wink at us, and head out to my bike.
I admit, I'm a little wry of her being on my bike with that short dress on, but she gets on behind me, putting on her helmet, then presses close to me. Goddamn it! This girl's going to be the death of me. I swear it.
A small chill runs up my spine, and she asked if I'm okay, but I shrug it off and say, "Yeah. I'm good, just glad you agreed to spending the night with me," then we speed off to my place. I just want to drop her stuff off, get changed, then head out to the restaurant I made reservations for. Then we'll go back to my place, and I'm going to take a cold shower.
I look back at her through my mirror, and see the innocent smile on her face. Man, she really has no idea what she does to me, does she?
We pull up in my driveway, then I help her off the bike, and get off myself, grabbing her bag from her, and taking her hand in my other. I lead her up to the front door, and unlock it, where we head inside, and I take her to my room. She sits on my large bed, while I gather what I'm going to wear tonight.
When I'm changed, I head into the bedroom again, to find her laying on my bed, with Tokyo and Killer. She gently pets them, while they give her kisses, and has her giggling.
She looks up at me, then says, "Oh, sorry. They just came in and wanted some attention."
"It's alright. Seems they really like you," I say, holding my hand out for hers, which she takes, and I help her stand up. She kisses my cheek, then smiles shyly at me.
I kiss her nose, then her forehead, and say, "Well, we had better get going."
She nods, then we head out to my car this time, and I help her in the passenger's side. Once she's in, I close her door, and walk over to the Driver's side and get in next to her. I quickly kiss her lips, then put the car in reverse and back out of the driveway. Once on the road, I start driving to our destination, while she holds me hand. I notice her link our fingers together, then see what she's doing.
She slips her phone out, with a small smile at me, and takes a picture of our fingers. When she looks at it, she smiles wider, then shows me while we're stopped at a red light. I smile as I realize when our fingers are linked like this, it looks like my tattoo, since she got one just like it, spelling out "Fidelity".
I kiss her hand, then the light turns green, and we start moving again.
When we arrive at the restaurant her beautiful eyes widen, and she says, "No way! This is the most romantic place in the city."
"I know," I say, "That's why I picked it for tonight."
"What's tonight?" she asked me.
I walk over to her side, and when I open the door, I say, "Hopefully one to remember."
"Alright?" she says, arching an eyebrow at me, but taking my hand anyway.
I pass my keys to the valet, then we head inside, and walk up to the hostess. She asked if we had reservations, and I say, "Yes. Two for Purdy, please."
"Right this way," she says, grabbing two menus, then heading towards a secluded area of the restaurant. When we're seated, she tells us our server will be with us momentarily, then walks away.
I already know what I'm getting, since the Brides all came here when Jake proposed to Ella, and also as a congratulations dinner for winning an award at the Golden Gods two years in a row.
I watch Katie, as she looks over the menu, and when she catches me, she blushes shyly, smiles, and asked, "What?"
"Nothing," I softly say, "Just admiring the most beautiful woman in the room."
She blushes deeper, then says, "Umm...So, do you know what you're getting?"
I nod, then say, "They have the best stake you've ever had here."
She nods, then says, "I think I'll do that too then."
"And what to drink?" I ask her.
"Hmm...I'm thinking the hot tea," she says.
I nod, then our server walks up and says, "Hello, how are you folks this evening? My name is Ryan, and I'll be your server tonight. Is there anything I can get for you?"
"Yes," I say, "I'll have a water and a Coke."
"And I'd like a hot tea, please," Katie says, then our server nods, and walks away.
"After this, what would you say to going for a walk at the beach with me?" I ask Katie.
"Sounds wonderful," she says.
(After dinner)
We head out, after I paid for our dinner, and after much argument from Katie, to the valet, who gets our car, and brings it up front. I thank him, and give him a tip, then help Katie in the car, and we head out to the beach.
When we arrive, I help her from the car, where she removes her heels and stockings, then carries them with us on the beach. I lead her to the waterline, where we walk along the surf, holding hands.
We talk quietly among ourselves for a time, then I stop her, and say, "Katie, there's something I need to ask you."
"Alright. What is it, Ash?" she says, looking up into my eyes.
I take a deep breath, then say, "Katie, I know you've not had the best life so far, but I want to change that. I want to be the one who makes you smile and laugh. I want to be the person you run to, when all hope seems lost. I love you more than you'll even know, and nothing is going to change that. That's why I brought you here, to where we had our first date, and give you this," I pull out the ring from my jacket pocket, and hear her gasp, "And promise to always love you, and be there for you. I love you, Katie, and one day, I hope to even marry you. Please, say you'll be mine."
She smiles up at me, then says, "Of course!" before wrapping her arms around my neck, and pulling me into a passion-filled kiss.
When we pull out of the kiss, I take the ring in my hand, and slip it onto the middle finger of her left hand. I then kiss her again, softly this time, and we smile at each other, as we begin to walk on the beach again, hand-in-hand. She sighs happily, then leans her head on my shoulder.
"You getting tired, baby?" I ask her.
"Nope," she replies, "Jus content."
I kiss her hair, then pick her up, bridal style, and say, "Let's go home."
She nods, resting her head on my shoulder again, and wrapping both arms around my neck. I feel her shift slightly, then can tell she's admiring the ring as I walk us back to the car. I set her down in the seat, then kiss her again, and get in the Driver's side.
I drive us home then, holding her hand the whole way there. When we get there, we get out, then head inside, where she excuses herself to the bathroom, and I get out of my jacket and button up.
